Pho & Grill Gaithersburg — Restaurant in Gaithersburg

Never had to write a review until now, came here over the weekend for a good dinner and left disappointed! First the food is not the greatest as it was before , pho is oily and they dont give a good portion for the price of 15$!!! Then charge a ridiculous amount of EXTRA servings of meat, which i shouldnt be paying if they wouldve gave me a good amount the first place. The basil had brown spots all around them indicating the basil was bad. Don't get me started with the spring rolls, they were half burnt and for almost $8, its ridiculous. 2nd the servers disappointing, the waitress who served me, the girl with long black hair took my order with an attitude and never came back, she was busy talking with the other server. They were too busy in their own world, instead of doing their job and attend the customers!!!! I found a hair in my bowl of pho but couldnt get the servers attention, i gave up in eating paid my bill and left. If they cant do their job, why work here!!! Ive been coming here for a very long time the waitress with the pink hair and the guy with glasses ALWAYS make my time at this place worth it, but unfortunately with my bad experience looks like the owners of this place gave up. I cant stand by this establishment no more, food went downhill and servers went downhill. Never...

2.5 STARS........ Moved here from Beltsville where I had two great pho spots. Was craving pho and tried this spot because they delivered. The pho soup did the job but wasn't amazing. Got the shrimp and also the pork summer rolls and both were terrible. Shrimp roll had shrimp lettuce and a few noodles and was a sloppy untucked roll. Other places even stick mint, basil, throw some pork in with the shrimp more noodles etc. Pork roll had something fried and unknown that took away from the pork and I believe was used just as a filler in the roll. Instead of the peanut sauce or the sweet vinegar fish sauce, they gave some weird orange sauce that I didn't like. If the owner is reading this. Put more love into them rolls, and get rid of that orange sauce and serve the peanut sauce with the pork and take out that filler fried stick and dont be stingy with the pork and maybe some fresh ingredients like mint and basil. If I come back it's only because they deliver and I'd only get the soup.

I had been to this location back in 2015 and the Olney location more recently pre-COVID and it was awful. I saw that this location was available through Doordash/Uber Eat early in the pandemic, and I refused to order from them. But after getting bored with all the options close by, and seeing that this location had better reviews - I decided to give them another try. TBH, I am so glad that I did.

I had the combination beef pho (large) with no noodles. But I asked for extra bean sprouts (steamed) instead. Not only was the broth delicious, but the portion of meat was generous and they actually gave me EXTRA bean sprouts! I don't know how many times I've asked for this at other pho places, and it NEVER happens. So just for getting my order right - I was so happy!

I also had the grilled pork roll which was delicious.

Prices were reasonable. And they packed everything up nicely.

I've been back a couple more times since, definitely a delivery...
