I have been tasting a lot of dishes from Chopathi before I wrote this and I feel this place as one of the best options in Gaithersburg area. Yes the food is a bit above the others but the quantity is nearly increased by 25% but the price increased by 10%. They have introduced family pack for about 40$ and it is good for a family for two adults and two kids for eating two times. I see a lot of reviews stating rude customer service, what I have been observing is that the customers who come in do not even smile or talk to the staff and talk as though they own half of the world, seriously and they expect the staff to be super friendly, I do not think so. I have visited here at least three times in last 3 months and the staff now not only remember me but also my family. My kids love to go there as every staff who take care of the customers are easy going and happy people. Me and my family talk to them and smile at then and ask them how they are and now I see their service and their attitude as great.
Coming to food, I have tired a few varieties and it all tastes near authentic if you ask them for spicy or mild spice. If you cannot take spice and expect to have good Indian food it is best to eat home. The biriyani have a unique flavor and the sweets and fresh and well made. Hope they continue their quality and cleanliness as we go in to...
Read moreI recently ordered the veg dum biryani from this restaurant and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. Despite requesting less spice, the dish was too hot for my liking. Additionally, the dish lacked a variety of vegetables, including beans, potatoes, and other commonly used ingredients in biryani dishes. The vegetables in the dish were not fresh and had a chewy texture, which detracted from the overall flavor.
Moreover, there was not enough oil in the dish, and the quality was not up to the mark. While the quantity of the dish was sufficient, the overall flavor was lacking due to the quality of the ingredients used.
I believe that the restaurant could improve upon the quality of their ingredients, ensure that the appropriate level of spiciness is used, and maintain the quality of the dish. I appreciate the restaurant's effort to provide a vegetarian option, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Overall, while the restaurant has potential, I would not recommend the veg dum biryani dish based on...
Read moreI had the best goat curry ever. I hope that just like rice is an accompaniment that you think to offer flat bread, if the customer wants to swap, even if it means paying a little extra. It would be nice to get a finger bowl or better yet a wet wipe. Indian food should be eaten the Indian way, there is a joy in that but think to give a fork along with the spoon. I think there was a confushion as to whether I want to dine in or take out. I would like a combination menu to be there, why not offer an appetizer and tea with the entree priced around $15. It would be nice to eat from proper plates, how about melamine dishes it would save the planet somewhat don't you think. The overall atmosphere was pleasant, customer service could improve, a place I would like to frequent. Thank you, the meal was heart warming. What I would like to see in your menu is Kotthu and why not have appetizers made with flat bread. Would it not go well with your flat bread and Biryani theme. ...
