Updated Review: The customer support called us directly and helped us with the previous event. I am so glad that the General manager, Justin, gave us a call. He explained his understanding of quality distribution of service and food especially in these trying times. Keeping customers happy and coming back is important to the restaurant while a global pandemic is occurring. He was grateful to see our review to make right what was wrong and to prevent future mistakes from happening to other customers. I have reconsidered my review and provided 5 stars which the restaurant truly deserves thanks to Justin’s excellent service and understanding. I would be more than happy to bring back my guests and visitors from out of town. Ted’s Montana Grill is one of few that offer Bison dishes and we will definitely be going back. Thank you, Justin! ————————————————————————————— I want to give this place a better review because I have been here a few times before and it was great. The food was perfect and the staff were attentive. Times have changed making to-go orders essential. I am really disappointed with the service and communication now. This is an upscale place comparatively, not at all a Red Robbins or McDonalds so you’d expect better service. I ordered two Bison Burgers which are quite expensive. The burgers were cold even though they had just brought them out. The buns were not even heated and one particular burger the “Red Rock” Was missing it’s key, most enticing, ingredient, the onion straws. We called in to see if we could get a discount on the burger or even a refund but they only offered $3 return for the burger. They asked if we were in the area to drive back there. We were already home and settled in and we did not want to drive back for their mistake and trust that we’d get a better meal. When I asked if there was a better solution the manager, Nicole, basically gave me an attitude to justify that $3 is the value of the onion straws.... So we basically had a terrible meal worth $40 and got a $3 refund. It was my fiancé's first time there and I was excited for him to try the Bison burger but the experience left a bad taste for him and he probably wouldn’t go back. I take a lot of my guests and visitors there but if the customer service and solutions don’t improve, especially during these changing and critical times, I’d rather take them...
Read moreWent there past Friday, 10/25/19. Called two days ahead made reservations for an anniversary. Always saw this place from the outside and thought, man, this will be a fancy, nice, elegant place. Their Steak must cost like $40-$60 specially the Bison. Was super excited to finally go.
First sign of a bad restaurant, not confirming reservations. No one called to check to see if I was still coming. Got to the place, no one at the front desk, host/hostess stand, waited there for maybe 2-3 minutes. Girl shows up, asks how many, instead of “Welcome” or any other greeting. I told her I had a reservation, and off we go to our booth.
I had very high expectations of this place, when I went inside and saw the floor, the brown all over the place, the ceiling, I felt like I was in Denny’s Diner (that’s not a compliment) It was supposed to be “Authentic American Dining” those tiles were screaming “Spain” and do not go with their look.
Waitress comes in, asked if we been here before, said no, since this was the very first time. Took our order and then we wait. We started off with “Grilled Shrimp on Ciabatta Toast” and you can see in the picture how it came out. Just bunch of arugula thrown as a base, some grilled shrimp and ciabatta on the side. Not what we expected but it was good.
The food looked sad, When I got my bison ribeye, with fries, it reminded me of Denny’s again, it was a sad looking dish. I had asked for a coffee rub and slightly seared but don’t think that happened, didn’t taste it. The steak was amazing, the fries, though looked dead, were fresh. Hence, the one star.
Look, any man or woman with a grill can cook a steak. It’s the experience in a restaurant that brings the customer back and back again. Not a SINGLE time did anyone wished us Happy Anniversary OR offered anything, or asked how many years. Take some interest in your customers. That’s how you survive. Isn’t Restaurant business hard already?
Their Dessert menu is a joke, you got cookies? Come on man. What happened? I had a terrible experience, I did not enjoy my time, my food, or the service. I wasted my $97 some dollars. And would never rely on this place for any...
Read moreI recently dined at Ted's Montana Grill for my birthday celebration with friends, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. While the bison was delicious and tender, the overall service left much to be desired.
First and foremost, I must commend the hostess, Tatyana, for her exceptional service. She was welcoming and attentive throughout our visit.( Thanks to her it's not a 1 star!) However, the same cannot be said about our server, Dan. From the moment we were seated, his grumpy demeanor set the tone for the rest of the evening.
The issues started with a wrong drink order, which was listed on the bill. When the correct cocktail was brought, the server's awkward approach, leaning in a peculiar manner toward my friend, was quite uncomfortable.
To add to our dissatisfaction, one of my friends ordered carrots as a side dish with the assurance that they would be buttery. However, the carrots arrived plain, lacking any buttery flavor. When we brought this to the server's attention, he asked my friend to move the carrots to another plate and took them away. Upon their return, the carrots finally looked and tasted as they should have from the start. Throughout the meal, our server neglected to check on us or clear our table of empty plates, leaving us feeling neglected.
The disappointment reached its peak when we received the bill.. We noticed charges for an incorrect drink, $1 for the Caesar salad, and another $1 for the asparagus. The menu stated that we could choose two sides ( so did the server, but he didn't inform re: extra charges), so it was frustrating that these charges were not communicated beforehand. When I raised this concern with the server, his response was dismissive, simply stating that he would pay $2 himself. The problem was not the amount but rather the lack of communication about the additional charges. That's when I honestly lost it and decided to leave this review. I've never experienced such a disappointing experience in my life,...
