I was so disappointed! The service sucked! We were out of town staying in Galena Ordered for delivery, we were told 45 min and then an hour and a half later the place called and said that there was an unexpected issue but they were resending our food and it would be another 40min. So almost 3 hours in our food showed up, they did not offer a discount or a real apology. Then the pizza we ordered was wrong I called the place back and the guy argued with me about what I had ordered. I know what I ordered as it was a simple pepperoni pizza and they sent a pizza with all types of veggies which our young kids would never eat. The guy would not offer me any solutions. I finally asked for a refund on the pizza and the guy reluctantly said he would refund my card at the end of the night for a pizza. An hour later the restaurant called and left a voicemail which said they needed my card number again so they could charge me for the pasta we had gotten, I did call back and paid $28 for the one order of pasta! Plus we had given the driver a $10 tip. I didn’t have to call back, but I wasted more of my time and called. BTW the pasta was so Oily. We ended up feeding the kids. PB&J. What a complete cluster and...

We were welcomed and seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and took our drink order promptly. Then the drinks sat on the bar for several minutes before the waitress brought the drinks to the table. I am not a fan of warm drinks.

We chose the house salad and an Italian sausage sandwich. The salad was just okay. It seems there could have been more meat on the salad since it was considered to be a meal. The house dressing is very good.

The Italian sausage was very flavorful. I prefer Italian sausage in a patty and this was link sausage. Had I noticed the link vs. patty difference on the menu I would have ordered something else. Cannova puts a cheese coating on the home made bread for the sausage sandwich. The coating was lost on me. It was a bit plastic tasting. I would have been fine with the home made bread. Actually I could have dined on the bread alone and been perfectly content.

If I go back I would definitely get the pizza as all the other patrons were having pizza. Also, I would call it a cheat the diet day and drown in the...

First off, we love the food at Cannova's and have been here several times. The bread is amazing and the Pizza is one of our favorites of all time, as well as the charcuterie platter. 5 stars for the food. This time around we're docking a couple stars for the service. It wasn't that busy and we were here with two other couples. The waiter was kind of arrogant and sarcastic, and the service was slow considering the place wasn't full. When the bill came, it was all lumped together even though he very clearly asked who was with who while we were ordering. When we asked about him splitting the bill up, he just said yeah we don't do that and kept moving. It was 6 people with very simple orders. I've seen busy restaurants not allow splitting the bill with 8 or more, but this just seemed lazy. We spent the next 15 minutes figuring out who owed what and making change for each other so the one person that didn't have cash (me) could put it on my card. We'll still come for the food, but if we're with a group we'll suggest...

The staff was pleasant and efficient so I’m giving it an additional star but the food is a 1 star. We ordered the Sicilian pizza and two side salads with bread and oil. They should just skip offering the oil for bread if using subpar ingredients. It tastes like they use a standard cooking canola oil, and there is a vinegar that looks like balsamic or a red wine vinegar with shredded parm on top. Its not authentic and just doesn’t taste good at all. They only have one dressing offering for the salads, creamy Italian but it’s more like a thousand island. The crust was nice thin and crispy(a plus) again the Ingredients used were awful. The “diced tomatoes” are actually from a can and the sausage is sliced and taste like Johnsonville brauts. We ended up picking off all the toppings and realized there was no marinara on the pizza either.
