Pitney Pub — Restaurant in Galloway Township

I have been to Pitney Pub a few times and usually leave happy and satisfied. However, I went there last night with a friend and had the worst experience and I won't be returning!! I got there a half hour before my friend came and I sat at the bar. When she came in she joined me at the bar . We ate and drank for about 2 hours. When I asked for my check, I was surprised to see they added my friend's food onto my check. I asked the bartender (don't know her name, thin bulld with black shoulder length hair) why she combined the check with my friend's check. She very rudely replied, "You didn't tell me not to combine them and I'm too busy to worry about separating checks"! My question why would she just assume because I'm sitting next to someone and talking to them that I'm paying for them. I asked to speak to the manager, a short guy with dark hair and glasses came over and he was just as rude as her telling me their too busy to do separate checks!! They weren't even that busy and even if they were thats still not a good way to treat your customers. They will not be getting another dime of my money. I recommend going elsewhere if you want to be treated...

Enjoyed our meal! Service was good! All food served hot which is always a plus! Nobody wants their food sitting in the kitchen & getting to the table cold so big thank you for that!! Only reason for 4 stars was I ordered a burger which comes with fries--I asked to omit the fries & have a side salad instead. I completely understand a bit of an extra charge for the switch but I was charged an extra $6!! On the menu it states an order of fries is $7 & a side salad is $8. I think an appropriate charge for my switch would have been $1-$2. Had I known, I would have taken the fries--can always bring them home & reheat in air fryer--& would have just ordered the side salad as well. Salad was very fresh & dressing very good so no complaints. Just was surprised at such a large switch charge as I ask at many places & have never been charged so much. All in all food was very good! It's a comfortable atmosphere & menu has something for everyone. We went fairly early so there were families with young kids. I would imagine 7-8:00 would be the cut off for young kids as it is a bar but in the earlier hours it is certainly appropriate...

I was looking for a late night bite while staying at the Marriott vacation club. I did a quick search and this place came up. They do serve food until midnight, but be aware that it is fried food only. we had wings and steak fries and mozzarella sticks. The wings were pretty good. I didn’t care for the other two. The full menu is probably much better. I saw several items I would have like to try like the mushroom risotto. I also had a beer and a shot and a mixed drink. The service was OK. The bartender who took our order didn’t check on us very often but several others did. There was a live band that night which seem to be pretty popular. This place seems like a very casual neighborhood bar that is good for drinks morrso then food. I’m glad they were open late though as this area seems to be...
