The Mix Up food truck! I ordered the kabob plate of a ribeye kabob and a lamb kabob. Mmmm, the kabobs were delicious. Big, hunky cuts of tender, flavorful meat; all grilled to perfection. The folks working the truck were fantastic. Big, fun personalities. What initially caught my eye was the very dramatic graphic design on the truck. It looked like a vintage movie poster with a woman in Mexican traditional garb and Arab man individually both looking contemplatively into the distance. As I walked closer, I found out they were selling Arab and Mexican food with their signature dish being their famous ribeye kabob. I ordered the kabob plate. It came with two kabobs, rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. $22. Yup, that price point may have you thinking twice but I was able to get two meals out of this plate. The kabob serving size was huge. I chose the ribeye and lamb kabobs. Chicken was the other option. They weren't stingy on the protein serving. The meats are actual cuts of filets, not ground meat. It was tender, flavorful with a great grill to it. Instead of rice, I asked for double the salad. The salad was fresh tasting and vibrant looking. The hummus was packed with a garlicky punch.

All I can say is- WOW IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I can't even think of anything to criticize, for goodness sake even the to-go plastic bag was super cute in cheetah print. I ordered the ribeye kabob plate and it came with an excellent salad, rice, pita bread with hummus and the most delicious butter garlicky sauce to dip your ribeye in... the meat and sauce just melts in your mouth. The owners have the most wonderful approach to their customers and since it was my first time visiting the area they gave me a few recommendations in what to order. Customer service is a 10/10.... I CANT WAIT to come back after our family trip to Reno....this time I'm coming back with the whole familia!! See y'all in 3days!!!

Food is delicious! I'm amazed by the portion, definitely enough to share. Came for lunch and there were two parties ahead of us. One person walked in after us for a take out order. It was a one man show, so it took 45 minutes for us to get our food. Someone else show up later to help serve the food and take orders as more people arrived. We were expecting a quick lunch but took us over an hour to finish. Considering a one man show and almost a full house, it was well worth the wait for the food. If you're in a pinch, I suggest ordering to go. Two parties that came after me got their to go orders before my order came out to the table.

My husband and I had the most delicious lunch today at the Mix Up restaurant on C Street in Galt. Our first visit but definitely not our last. We tried the chicken wings (crispy and yummy), kaftka with beef and lamb kabobs (ribeye was cooked to medium well and was tender and well seasoned, lamb was so tasty) served with a garlicky butter dip) falafel was crispy flavorful. Our meals each came with mixed green salad (that had cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese and a raspberry vinaigrette) and a rice pilaf. Servings were generous and well worth the price of the entrees around $20-$22. We have already placed an order of a chicken dish that we will have for our dinner...
