Redfish Pool Bar — Restaurant in Galveston

On 2/25/24 The rude older bartender spilled beer on my doggy Bichon Frisé, while throwing away beer cans. I am not sure if it was accident, or he was careless because he simply did not like us. What it bothers me the most is that he did not apologize. And when I asked him for water, he asked me if it was for drinking; which was a ludicrous question, because obviously it was to wash out the beer from my doggy, who was super white and clean. He should have been the one offering the water.

Not happy with that, he did not like that we sat at the first table available because my handicap husband chose it, just because it was for a larger party. It was never needed for other parties.

The only reason we did not leave was, one, because my husband being handicap, and two, we had already conveniently parked close by. Leaving represented more of a hassle, but we won't come back.

Also, there was a chair...

As soon as we walked in to pay the girl that charged us and put’s the bands on our wrist was very rude and the bartender’s did not approach us to take our order we had to call them and it took about 30 minutes just to get a beer and that was the whole time we were there and we finally asked the bartenders why was it taking them to long to get us a drink he right away said cause he wasn’t getting the tips that he wanted and also cause he only makes $3.00 an hour and I told him that was not my fault and then the Manager came and he was no help at all he kept defending his rude staff, I GIVE THIS LOCATION A ZERO and they were stereotyping us I guess because of our tattoos or all the jewelry that we are we’re all wearing we were there to spend money and have a good time, but I will say my wife and her Bestie enjoyed the pool ! We will never go back !!!!! SO I HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND AND THIS...

Came here after being at the beach doing yoga looking for clean chlorine fun instead of sand and muddy waters. A review of 9 months ago said the price was $10 a person which seemed really great considering there was 4 of us and the pool was not that big or deep and full of children. An employee and the manager would not budge of the price. It is not worth $25, along with buying food and drinks. The restaurant missed out on a lot of money between the four of us if they budged on the price considering they did not have the pool prices advertised on website, Google(updated) or anywhere else. They said the only photo which is uploaded by a customer, is "not their photo" but they have the power to take it down. In addition, we are professional mermaids who were interested in using the pool and could've brightened the day for the customers and guests of the hotel...
