I visited this establishment to support a local food truck, as we often visit seafood restaurants around the island. As a proud Mexican American who understands the quality of a good taco, don't waste your time. I really wanted to love this place, but everything we ordered was extremely lackluster!!! First, I asked for extra mayo and cheese in my vaso de elote, but I did not receive it. I tried to understand, and didn't let that deter me from enjoying the rest of the meal. However, none of my requests were met. I politely asked in Spanish (to avoid miscommunication) for grilled onions on all of my tacos and extra extra crispy Tripa, and I didn't receive that either. Still, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the dissatisfaction continued. The street tacos were served on double regular tortillas (traditionally, double-tortilla street tacos are served on small tortillas), and since they were not cooked in oil, they quickly dried out. The lettuce inside the burrito tasted like it was past its expiration date, meaning old. I couldn't find the cheese in the quesadilla. To top things off, the bottom of the burrito and quesadilla was extremely soggy. It was a very disappointing experience! The gentleman who took our order was kind. My boyfriend thought the fajita and barbacoa were decent, the chicken was dry, and the tripa was not crispy at all. The only thing that was okay was the vaso de elote because my expectations are never high, and I know I'm most likely getting corn from a can. You're better off going to The Spot down the road. We ordered 6 tacos, 1 vaso de elote, 1 burrito, and 1 quesadilla, which came out to approximately $47. We left a...
Read moreTaquería Sabrozona in Galveston is a hidden gem right by the sea. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and the delicious smell of grilled meat in the air. The location is perfect—just steps from the beach—so you can enjoy your tacos with a refreshing ocean breeze and a great view.
The food was absolutely delicious. The tacos were full of flavor, especially the carne asada and al pastor. The tortillas tasted fresh and homemade, and the salsas added just the right kick without overpowering the taste. They also had great options for kids, like quesadillas and simple tacos with cheese. Everything was served hot and fast.
The service was friendly and quick, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. They even brought extra napkins without being asked—something small, but appreciated. The place was clean, and the seating area outside had a fun, laid-back vibe.
It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the view make it special. If you’re in Galveston and craving tacos, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be coming back. Five stars for Sabrozona—tasty, welcoming, and right...
Read moreThis place is bad, food is bad, service is bad, location is bad. So I ordered 6 tacos, 3 asada and 1 tripe, 1 pastor/pork, and a barbacoa. Dude had me wait 35 minutes for the order because he forgot. Then put onions on all my food. I hate onions. Fine I can del with that and take it off. Then I check and got 3 pastor and 3 barbacoa. There is no order to the line. Tacos are made with white, nasty, fake tortilla. Go anywhere else...
