Goodwill Houston Store & Donation Center — Local services in Galveston

We were there in Galveston on Vacation and came in your store to shop. The shopping experience was great but then your cashier Erik was the rudest person I've ever come across as a customer service representative. My mom and I were in line next to be served after an older lady. When he got to us he just walked away from the register with no explanation whatsoever. When he got back the other cashier asked him where did he go and he said the bath room. We explained that he could have said something. His reply was ( I don't have to tell y'all nothing) then he call another white lady to the corner to cash her out where there was no counter to even put anything. I stated that I was in line first and he said that he refused to serve me. He then began to argue with me. Your store manager came and got him and took him to the back. There were 10 of us ladies there and we all started to put all we had to purchase back due to this treatment. I would hate to think that he was being that way because we are black. At any rate. I was very displeased with the way he treated me. He isn't ready to deal with customer's. After being in customer service myself for 30 years as a supervisor, I was appalled by...

I was in need of some jeans, and had enough to buy one pair if I went to Walmart. Instead, I found 3 pair of LIKE NEW jeans here @ 5.99 per pair. All three different Brands, and even found a great 1.99 shirt. I looked up the jeans... and my savings was $333 on Denim. YES YES YES!

Employees were all busy doing what they do best, and keeping the clothes orderly. Other Patrons were friendly to one another, and actually helped me to find the denim I ultimately selected after fitting. Store was VERY CLEAN and Folks were keeping Social Distances.

Donate here, and You will be helping Others who don't have a lot and maybe cannot buy New. God only knows My Chapter for more than a while now. My Heart goes out to those recovering from Covid19 and/or Financial Hardships.

The Cashier made sure I didn't overpay. Overall, the experience was such a Benefit that I created my photos to post here. Today I dressed like I had somewhere nice to be, and that is good for my confidence. Take care of Yourselves Everyone,...

I’m giving this Goodwill location 2 stars because, shame on them, it’s not even functional to shop here anymore. They’ve had more than enough time to correct the ongoing issues—it’s been a couple of years now, and things have only gotten worse. I couldn’t have imagined it deteriorating further back then, but here we are. I’m really annoyed that I wasted my time driving up here today.

Everything is completely out of order; whoever handled the merchandising should be ashamed. How in the world are they getting away with the store looking like this? I’m sure if the higher-ups at Goodwill saw this mess, there would be some people getting fired—and I hope that happens sooner rather than later. This could be a really good resource for the island, but right now, customers are getting screwed over. Shame on whoever...
