The staff is very rude and make you feel very uncomfortable if you’re not at the resort. In fact we waited a tremendous amount of time trying to put in food and drink orders. After 30 min waiting without service I went up to the pool and the server was beyond rude telling me I can’t be in there. As if I want to be in a 90 degree pool in 90 degree weather. I said all we want is food and drinks (for the fifth time) where she directed us with a finger of where to go. I was shocked but followed her instructions trying to find the part of the outdoor area where she can supposedly give service! We weren’t offered waters and I placed our drinks right away. After trying to put food In for over an hour at this point we wanted to tab out. We weren’t even presented with an itemized receipt. Mind you the pool was dead w three resort guests. After about 45 min finally Alicea a manager (and a second supervisor) came out to try to comb things over. She offered food (shrimp and fries) and we continued to order drinks through the other server from inside who was very nice. Shortly thereafter, the “busy” staff thought it would be more important to feed the pigeons (Clarissa and Alina and the pool attendant). A few minutes later another couple sits down, is greeted promptly (even offered water unlike my partner and myself). Overall - beautiful view and that’s where it ends. Thanks for the shrimp and fries Alicea. Over all Garbage service, trashy staff, it’s obvious operations are a huge issue and that’s being nice! If the place was busy it would be one thing, but getting treated like dog pile- is and never will be ok. Never coming back!

Awesome poolside bar with great drinks and food selections located inside the San Luis Resort. Tasty gumbo, blackened chicken ceasar and mojitos. Many different types of pool/sun lounging areas to choose from with a Gulf Ocean view, paradise. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

Elevated and good beach vibes on summer weekday night. Fish tacos & salsa were supremely delicious (the food rly had no business being that good for a bourgeois beach bar). Friendly restaurant patrons and waitstaff (esp our waitress Lizzie). Hotel is positively reminiscent of a Golden Nugget.

We arrived about 6pm, on a Tuesday, the area was near empty. Staff walked by us for 30min without acknowledgement. We politely got a manager as she was walking past us. She was polite, but asked if we were guests of the hotel (We are). She then asked about our wrist bands & told us only people with wrist bands are served. Mine was in plain view(attached to my purse) & my husband had his in his pocket. New policy? We've been coming here for years, & always stay multiple...
