Waffle House — Restaurant in Garden City

Today I decided to eat again at Waffle House in Garden City but today Shay's attitude was horrible. I ordered the Texas Bacon Party Melt plate which include the hash browns. I ordered my sandwich with tomatos and onions and my hash browns with everything except gravy and chilly. For some reason my order confused Ms. Shay. So she stepped over to me and begin to ask a question regarding how you wanted my hash browns.. then she rolled her eyes and jurked her body... I wanted to make sure "we" were on the same page and her attitude got worse..(Blowing air and mumbling) Me of course, I remain calm and asked her if she was ok and she rolled her eyes again and again yes I'm ok. Then she ask why you asked me that. I told her here jurking her body, blowng air and mumbling while she was taking my order. After placing 2 separate orders and telling Shay the orders were separate. She added them all together. I again asked if she put both orders together she then said (WIth an ATTITUDE) Yes...and rolled her eyes again. After separating the orders, she then said loudly, your total is $17.40. After paying for my food ..it was time for my friend to pay for his order... And he asked why was his price higher than mind. (He ordered more sides than I did...I could've answered that question for him BUT I wanted to see Shay's reaction to his question. Shay was again VERY RUDE as she felt it was a hassle to explain or answer the question) While I'm sitting there calm she (Shay) then said I don't need to be taking orders because I don't have time for this. Then the lady standing next to her laughed and said yeah girl I don't see how you do it. ( More unprofessional behavior). Then the other black lady turned to my friend saying are you okay...you have an attitude and my friend said I'm spending my money and I want to make sure my order is correct and you should stay in your place because my question was too her (Shay) not you. Shay's attitude was horrible and she was very rude...yet I continued to be nice. The cooking turned around and ask what did I order and SHAY'S ATTITUDE WAS DISPLAYED AGAIN‼️ The cook took my order and I thanked him in advance. As I'm walking out the door...Shay then said she's just nasty...Like little girl what did I do to you but show you respect... She's very lucky I'm a real woman because that street hood mess she was giving me was uncalled for and unnecessary!! Last time Shay was very polite and courteous and received a $20 tip from me...this time her attitude and demeanor gain her a $0 tip. Treat people they way you want to be treated...it works in your favor...

Came in asked what came in a get bowl. Kara told us that it came with sausage egg and cheese. So I said I would like bacon in mine as well. My girlfriend said she didn't want bacon in hers so our order taker Kara said would you like cheese and my girlfriend said yes. That simple. There rules state that a to go order cannot be eaten on property. So we did not check and just left. That's bad on our behalf. When we got home my grit bowl was fine but my GF had nothing but grits and cheese. So I called and she told us that my GF said she wanted a plain grit bowl then stated that a grit bowl is just a plain grit bowl. Mind you apparently a grit bowl with cheese is 2.50 but with sausage egg bacon and cheese it's 3.00. 🤔🔄❓ My GF was very specific and stated she just didn't want bacon on hers but the grit bowl. I don't understand how she can tell us the grit bowl comes with sausage egg and cheese but when we call it's just a plain ole grit bowl. That was Kara mistake. Ours for not checking. We also order the Texas toast sandwich with sausage egg runny in the middle (was specific bc I call it over easy but some ppl call it sunny side up etc so on so forth) but our egg was definitely not runny. I gave a two for their customer service as well. Cook was rude to the elderly lady that was taking orders. I know they normally yell out orders so and the cook did not like that apparently. The elderly back lady (do not know her name but worked this day morning shift) was so nice and greeted us when we walked in. Was kind to others and co workers. She made me smile even tho a storm woke me up at 730am and I just went to bed after working 3pm-3am n slept for 3 hours. This lady was great. The dishwasher lady was slamming dishes. Kara wasn't as friendly as I expect ppl to be in food service but we're all different but she wasn't the worst lol. But still could have been more understanding n nicer also her tone and facial expressions. Jus room to improve. Place was clean for sure. Had a great experience before so I'll boost from 2star to three for that...

Hey I have been coming into this waffle house for awhile now and it has been great every time until now. So there is a new girl working at the waffle house in garden city Georgia on the graveyard shift. Well my last visit was around the same time I always come in there. Well me and my wife ordered our food and it took well over 30 minutes to get it and the service was very bad. Well I was finished with our food and went to leave and I still tried to leave a tip well I gave the girl 4 dollars and she took the money and threw it back at me and said you can keep that s* with your cheap a .well I left and didn't say anything but I just went back there tonight and she was working again and I stood at the register to order and she ignored me for 30 minutes and finally she told the cook to take my order because I'm cheap. So he began to ask me what I wanted and I told him and stopped him and said that I'm not getting anything from there while she is working. I could not believe she would do that to a customer at all it was highly disrespectful. So I am trying to reach a manager that can help me out with this situation....
