Tra is a wonderful new Boba milk tea cafĂ© that recently opened in Boise. It is conveniently located in a strip mall near the Boise Costco, right next to The Tortilla Factory. In addition to Boba teas, they have flavored teas, iced Vietnamese coffee, slushyâs and smoothies. They also have a small food menu of Bagel sandwiches and BĂĄnh mĂŹ. I visited for the first time on 10/28/22. I knew this place was legit when I asked where they get the tea they use for their signature Boba milk tea and the answer was âTaiwan.â I appreciate that the drink prices include Boba.
I ordered a large Signature Milk Tea ($6.75) and a Grilled Pork BĂĄnh mĂŹ ($6.75). The Signature Milk Tea comes with the inside of the cup lined with brown sugar syrup, which makes it extra delicious! My drink was excellent! Because I was taking my bĂĄnh mĂŹ to go, the owners thoughtfully put the vegetable garnish on the side so the heat of the sandwich wouldnât make it soggy before I got back to my office. My BĂĄnh mĂŹ was excellent too!
Vanessa wanted me to try their Winter Melon Tea, and gave me one on the house. I have never tried Winter Melon Tea before so didnât know quite what to expect. It had a mild, light, refreshing, sweet flavor thatâs been compared to fresh cucumber, as well as watermelon rind. I thought it had a slightly caramel flavor too. Winter Melon Tea is high in vitamins and antioxidants. Many drink it for its health benefits. It was a little too sweet for my taste (similar to Sweet Tea), but I enjoyed getting to try something new. To the best of my knowledge, thereâs no place else in Idaho serving Winter Melon Tea.
Owners Kevin and Vanessa are very kind and helpful. I love this business is open seven days a week. Canât wait to return!

Read moreAfter reading reviews and trying it. The only thing that I can say is way too much pink. All I gotta say is they are trying. My Boba tea was actually good. Staff was nice. Gotta say after being open for less than 6 months they are trying. Now it is not Authentic but its a way to get a quick fix. Yes the place is a Lil small and perhaps a relocation or a redesign may be needed but it was a good experience I say good because we witnessed a 'karen' having a fit over no oat milk, which I hope she has a better day and learns to not freak out over small stuff, and which the staff handled it well too. Other than that not bad of a place
Pros: good Boba and kind staff
Cons: too much pink. Might wanna choose a color and decoration a bit more addressed to attract the attention of the male female and non binary percentile of customers.
Hope you...
Read moreDecided to try TrÄ after my family decided to give every boba shop in the valley a fair shot. I will say that the milk tea was pretty good (about the same as elsewhere) and the BaĆh mĂŹ was a nice surprise to find. Considering I hadnât eaten dinner yet, both were really good and hit the spot.
My only (very small) critique is that the Jalapeño could have been spicier on my sandwich. Other reviews say the sandwich was cold (mine wasnât) but keep in mind BaĆh mĂŹ is meant to be enjoyed COLD or HOT so I wouldnât trust the 1 âïž reviewer TBH.
The interior is very cute but it doesnât seem like there is much space for dine-in. Fine by me but just plan ahead if thatâs what you wanna do.
They are the newest Boba shop in town so go...
