Rick's Drive In & Out — Restaurant in Gardena

Gave the old place a shot, ordered breakfast #4 with a side of hash browns and an oj. Simple enough. The food was not bad, nothing to write home about but above average. I like to eat my pancakes last, I opened one of the provided "sealed" cups of maple syrup to discover that a large amount of dead ants floating in the syrup, I just poured on my pancakes and it killed my appetite. I can't in good faith recommend this restaurant to anyone, the maple syrup issue was mostly likely due to the manufacturing company but I still will never return here. This has never happened to me before at any restaurant until this one, again it is probably not the restaurant's fault but they provided the syrup so they will get the negative review. If you enjoy it here then please continue but as for me this place is a no go....

I got 2 small Chili Cheese Fries with Pastrami and some fried zucchini. I used to frequent this establishment faithfully. I see things have gone downhill since then. The zucchini was very bland but at the same time salty. No flavor at all. I went through the drive thru. She didn’t tell me how much my order would be. She charged me $14 just for pastrami. She originally said my order was $45. I repeated it back to her twice. Once I questioned her she charged me $5 less. Each item only cost $5 and some change on the drive-thru menu. With taxes it wouldn’t have come up to $40 either. I just have to assume she intentionally overcharged me. The pastrami fries are not as good as they used to be either. I paid $40 for a basic meal. OK I've been back since I had my not so good experience. I ordered a simple breakfast #4 without the pancakes that was $5.04 and the next day I came back and ordered the same breakfast which was $8.04 I asked the server why the change and she said the 1st server charged me the wrong price which she happened to be there on that day she looked at her and said she didn't charge me that price which made me look like a liar. I paid the higher price even though I felt I shouldn't have.
