Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Garfield Township

Went into the restaurant and was greeted by the manager who seated us and said we just missed the rush so we came at the right time.

We order our food and from the bartender who was also our waitress. She takes the order and we waited about 15-20 minutes for my husband’s appetizer and about an hour for our actual food. My kids were starving and it was freezing in there so it was an unpleasant wait. Considering we were one of the few people in the restaurant it was confusing why we waited so long.

When my family was brought beverage refills they were just slammed on the table and she walked away. She must hate her job.

Half way through eating our dinner she asked if she could cash out our bill, apparently her shift was over. I have worked in food service for several years and never did that to a table as it’s considered rude. She stood there, took my credit card and shoved the tablet in my face where the tip screen was so I’d have to pick something. Took me off guard so I chose the lowest amount to get it out of my face which was being more than generous considering our food and service was sub par. Definitely wouldn’t have tipped that much if I was given the choice to take my time. Super unprofessional.

So I paid over $90 for my family of 4 to eat, 2 of which ordered off the kids menu. Since their food was so small they ended up eating half of me and my husband’s meals also. We got maybe 10 fries per plate and that’s being generous. Also they put cheese on my sons burger when he asked for no cheese and it was scraped off. What if he had an allergy to dairy???

Definitely not worth the money and wish we had chosen somewhere else to go....

I do not EVER leave reviews. But.. as a fellow server, I have to. Helen was our server and I can not make up the experience we had. I used to work here and have always loved Chili's, but this experience has made me never want to go back. I didn't complain as she didn't even give us the time of day to, and because I wasn't looking for a free meal.

When we ordered our drinks she didnt even offer our child a drink (even after asking him in front of her if he wanted one) We ordered the triple dipper, and when we got it, she gave us the cheddar bites instead of the burger bites. No big deal, easy fix. Accept she gave us attitude like it was our fault. Went to pick it up off the table as my son was reaching for the correct part of the triple dipper and she slapped his hand away. 😯🤬 after she picked it up she then realized we were right and slammed it back down on the table. When we got the rest of our food, she forgot our chips and salsa, also an easy fix. Then she didn't even serve our child his meal...left it sitting in the window until I finally asked for it after 5 or 6 mins went by.

For everything she forgot, she charged us like she didn't forget. Got charged for 2 kids meals when we barely even got one. Then I found a hair in my salad which normally I would have shrugged off and pushed off as mine but my hair is in a bun with no loose hairs. And it was white and longer than a man's hair. Kind of looked like hers to be honest. I have patience and I am very understanding but COME ON MAN. NOT OK. If I'm ever there again she will not ever wait on me or touch my child again. Unacceptable no matter what...

This was my 1st & maybe last time eating here. Every part of our experience was bad. We were at Chilis for over 2 hours. I went in to get our name on the list for a table & was told 5 minutes & to wait outside, due to the pandemic, and she would let us know. I went out & waited, 10 min nobody came out so I went & checked. Table was ready. We sat down & waited 15 min for a waitress. She took drink order at which time we asked for a highchair for a child. Drinks came but No straw for kids milk & no highchair. Didnt see waitress for 20 more minutes to take our order. We placed order, asked for straw & highchair again & got the highchair, no straw. Food took about 40 min for 4 meals, one of 2 steak were way over cooked, shrimp and vegetables for fajitas was burnt to the plate, and my order was missed somehow! When I did get food 15 min after the rest of the table it was kind of disappointing. Asked for ketchup 3 times and 2 different people before getting it. We felt totally ignored by the waitress after taking our order, we saw more of the manager, who told us he would comp some things that the waitress brought us a bill for!! So we had to bring him back out after getting bills... Only reason I give 2 stars is the fact I didnt get charged for anything, but still...
