Not a very Happy New Year ending. This evening (New Year's Eve) I placed an online order through the BoJ app, 20 pc meal and 6 BoBerry biscuits w/extra glaze. We (me, my son & his friend) arrive and walk into the N New Hope BoJ. Let the lady know I had an online order but I also wanted to add an extra fry and pinto/dirty rice mix (both family size). She rang me up, I paid and waited for my food. Soon thereafter, she handed us a box and a bag. I asked her politely if the Bo biscuits and the additional items were also in there, she confirmed "yes, everything is there". We left, went home and unpacked the food in the box and bag. Immediately we noticed the pinto/rice combo was NOT in the box or bag. I called, no answer...called again, still no answer. Got in the car to drive back when the 3rd call was answered. I explained who I was, what I ordered and the problem at hand. The lady IMMEDIATELY became defensive letting me know she was "the General Manager and she remembers personally fixing the pinto/rice side and placing it in the bottom of the box". Again, I explained nicely that we have looked everywhere and it wasn't in the box. She stated "ma'am, I know it was bec I fixed it and put it in the box". By this time, she (and I) were getting very irritated. Next thing I know, all I hear is her saying "Lord Jesus, if you want another side just come get it". I stated "ma'am, I didn't get the first side but I'll be there shortly to get it". After listening to the nastiness and unprofessional demeanor of this lady, who apparently thinks her employment position (GM) exempts her from making mistakes but yet gives her permission to insinuate a customer is lying, we obviously did not go back to get the pinto/rice side but I decided to write this review instead. Not exactly what I had planned for my New Year's Eve dinner...good chicken, good mac n cheese & fries, horrible supremes (dry, dry, dry) and a GM with a BAD attitude. Please keep this in mind Ms. BoJangles GM, you are NOT always correct, you too can make mistakes, not all customers are wrong and NEVER insinuate to a customer they are lying...it was a $5 side in a $70 order that prompted this review. Wow, some people need to learn to pick your battles....
Read moreTried the drive-thru since I was on lunch and there was no line. The AI thingy told me to wait for assistance, waited 4 minutes then drove around and walked in. Ordered on the kiosk, there was 2 groups ahead of me (2 in each group) who I assumed was the manager OD was rude, the first group had ordered something, waited +10 mins to be told they were out of it after they paid and waited. When they asked for something else they were told that since the other option was more expensive they would have to pay more. Now if this was right when they ordered I would agree however they had already been waiting for +10 mins (with just me being there, they were waiting before I even ordered my food) I would assume as food industry they would have taken the “L” and given them the slightly more expensive food.
The 2nd group didn’t get their food until after me and I waited +15 mins for a cajun chicken biscuit combo. The cashier/bagger in the front walked slower than molasses and didn’t seem to care.
When I got my food I had one headphone in, I could hear the ‘manager’ in the back talking about “People always trying to get free food” and how he likes working with the 3 adults cause the kids don’t work.
Each time I’ve been I’ve been helped by these “kids” and they got my order out right, fresh and quick. Maybe don’t talk about that kind of stuff to your team by putting down other team members especially in earshot of the customers.
I won’t be back to...

I got my order handed to me incorrectly but didn’t discover it until 15 min. Later when I got home. Of course I’m not going to drive back right then and shame on me for not checking the order before leaving. It was clearly stated on the tix what I paid for. I ate the crust off the chicken since I was so hungry and went back 2 days later for which I received a “you ate the chicken so we ain’t doing anything” response. It was clear I had not eaten the chicken (start laughing here) and that the appropriate response whb “Yes, I see the error, please let us replace that for you” but instead I was berated and got some huffing and was 2nd guessed. All this while another patron was accused of ‘stealing’ that employee’s phone whilst in the DR and hadn’t had a chance to bring it up to the front yet. She was threatened with jail… in front of everyone. Bojangles makes a good product, I’m sure customers play games with this store but I was not joking. I’m sick of not getting what I paid for. Principle here. I know it’s Gastonia but come on guys, let’s figure out how to keep a nice new store running without...
