Waffle House — Restaurant in Gastonia

I went to store 1845 remount road gastonia nc and the cashier iraia was extremely rude. I first called so that my order can be ready when I got out of there. We had just left the hospital. She couldn't get the order correct for nothing. So I said ok im pulling up and I will just come inside. I get there and try to order its the same. At this point I was getting a little frustrated but I was still patient with her. Her demeanor and body language spoke it all. So when I got my food I asked her was she new and how long she been working with the waffle house and she said I been working here for a few months. So I then said well you should have better customer service than you did. I also stated to her that I hate that this is a to go order because you don't deserve the 20% automatic gratuity that was added. Shethen said I don't care I get more tips anyhow. I then asked for ger name and she tried to hide her name tag so I asked the other cashier what her name was and left out. I will not be back if she is working. Very very nasty personality. The best thing of it all was whoever that chef was, an older gentleman did his thing on my food. I should have tipped him instead. The food was really delicious, fresh...

Oh my gosh! We had the best service here! The Mister and I work opposite schedules and actually were able to have breakfast with each other on Christmas Eve. It was nearly 3am when we walked in. ..greeted immediately and offered drinks. There were no seats and a sweet young lady moved over at the counter so we could sit dowm and order. Jessica was our server and was absolutely precious! I've been coming to the waffle house for over 20 years and never experienced quality service as I did tonight. The entire staff communicated with each other. .everyone was so pleasant and seem to truly enjoy their job! I have been in restaurant/bar management for over 10 years and can truly appreciate people in the service industry but never had a GOOD experience at the Waffle House. Tonight changed my mind. ..my coffee cup never went dry, my food was cooked perfectly and Jessica engaged in conversation. ..The grill cooks engaged with us. .On Christmas Eve. ..having to work instead of being home with family. I don't know if I would have been able to even smile! Thanks guys for ending our night out with a great meal and lots of smiles! Merry Christmas! ...

We always have a great experience, fast or slow service .... Working in the food industry makes you appreciate the small things. Usually all staff is polite and inviting!!! Today I'm writing a review because of one server in particular, they were down a cook and only 3 other workers were there. This one particular server, she had a horrible attitude the whole time, while standing and yelling and complaining she should have simply jumped in and helped, but she didn't . We and other customers told her we thought the "cook" was doing a great 2 person job, she proceeded to say, well he's not even a cook so....... How rude. We will def come back again and again, the food is on point and most importantly it is consistent, apparently it doesn't matter if you are the "cook" or not, we still got the same quality food.
