Yummm Donut — Restaurant in Gastonia

Let's talk about this place because it needs way more attention that it's getting. First we can't compare this local treasure to Krispy Kreme, where they're so defaulted that the donuts taste like something you could buy at a store. You pay over $15 at KK for a dozen of specialty donuts, that are just regular sprinkled and glazed. This place you get a specialty dozen for aprox.$22 and let me tell you, THIS IS WHAT SPECIALTY DONUTS MEANS! Everything about them are special. Maple Bacon? Smores? Samoan? Fruity Pebbles? I mean c'mon! That's amazing, the craft of this flavors are well thought and handmade, which makes them even more special. The size of these doughnuts are INSANE!!! They're twice the size of a KK donut, nothing you've seen before. Flavor are well balanced between the sweetness of the toppings and the actual donut. The place is so clean, and presentable. The employees are just as sweet, their smiles complement the whole vibe. I really hope this place is here to stay and that they can open more franchises around the state so people can experience a real donut shop, and KK can be gone with their overpriced, bad tasting donuts once for all. I happen to be at the right place at the right time. Someone brought a dozen donuts into a business where I was friday. I was struck by how large they were.

They are huge!!! So of course I had to go...

And the taste!..🤩🤩🤩..According to the person to whom I spoke at Yummmdonuts, they start baking at 1am. 1 AM..? This isn't Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donut...this is another level of fried dough that puts both place to shame. Its melt in your mouth good. The flavor is excellent, just enough sour to balance the sweet.

There are cinnamon twists & filling by choice, lemon chocolate, vanilla..but they had sold out when we got there at 2 pm. The shop opens at 630 am & I have a feeling they sell out quick.. Once these fried dreams are gone...is too bad so sad..no more until the next day..

KK & DD might have a drive thru to make pick up easier but this place has...

I’m so disappointed in Yummm Donuts. The first couple times I tried them no issues. But the last couple times, very disappointed. I thought I had finally found the perfect place to purchase a vanilla cream filled donut. They have an excellent way of custom filling the donut so that you can get the filling you want. When I first started going, the donuts were perfectly filled and had a nice amount of filling to donut. I was a very happy customer and excited to have found the perfect cream filled donut. But my happiness was short lived. The last two times I’ve gone, the filling is almost non-existent, which is really strange because there seems to be a gauge on the filling tanks so it should be exactly the same every time. I even asked for extra filling and was still very disappointed. Sadly, they have already lost me as a customer. I hope you read this and get...
