Longhorn is a typical chain family style restaurant. We were visiting NC from out of town and decided to stop here because it was familiar. Upon arrival, we were told we had to wait up to 40 minutes for our large party to be seated. That was a reasonable wait because we had 10 adults and two babies. So fair. Here is where the issue came in. We walked in at 4pm to be seated as advised by the host. We walk in and the host proceeds to say she can’t sit us because there is a shift change so we will have to continue to wait. Still kept it cool and trying to be understanding. Although, there were others who came in after us and sat before us. When we finally sat down our waitress came, very friendly young lady, Abby. After we order our appetizers of chicken bites our food came out with hair on our plate. Not only was there hair on the plate but the food was room temperature as if it had been sitting. We informed the waitress, she apologized and put in another order to be made. We asked if she could bring our entree out right away when finished so it’s not sitting. We let her know that it was okay to not bring it all out at once because we would rather have hot food. After all we did wait to come in for 40 min and it added up to a little over an hour once we finally ate. We thanked Abby for her patience and shared she was doing a good job with her responsiveness. However, we wanted to talk to management about our food because the entrees came out cold anyway. The majority of us hardly ate our food because who wants a cold steak?! Abby said she would go get the manager. Time goes by and still no manager. We asked again and then she came back to say the manager said a discount will be applied to our meal and didn’t come out to address or acknowledge us because they were short staff. As the manager, it was a professional responsibility and courtesy to apologize for our unsatisfied experience. It would have taken not even 5 min to step out and engage. We were NOT looking for a discount and the fact that was the assumption was very distasteful. Since the manager did not want to come out and speak, I am writing a review to share with others and YOU the manager our families experience at this particular location. Hope you have the day...
Read moreWow, where do I begin- my mom wanted to eat here for her 52nd birthday- my dad and sister all 4 came out to eat here .The wait was quick which should’ve been a red flag for me…1st our server was super mediocre and lack luster, not engaging at all. I have no clue if he even gave us his name. Into the meal my sister discovered a long hair in the butter that they add along side the bread loaf- at this point I was beyond grossed out but my mom ask that we not make a scene, she just wanted to enjoy her birthday, and the time of evening it was and risk to have to wait elsewhere played the major role in us staying…the server simply just swapped out the bread. SMH, we had to get another server Christopher who was super nice to get us new silverware and the manager-She was not even the bit shocked or appalled ..she simply told us that she would “tell her staff do better” - I literally had been spooning someone’s dna on my bread and her nonchalantness about it all was a burning red flag…we had to make several adjustments to our food when it came out, wrong sides sent, etc, my dad asked for steak sauce the empty bottle u see in the pictures is what they actually gave us to use. And after chasing down the manager and REMINDING her not only of the long test sampled hair we consumed we told her about the service overall, her response was to take $18 off our $170 bill and damn near insulting, all on my moms birthday…So me being in management I can say the lack of care was the entire let down, we could have eaten anywhere but this legit was my moms favorite steakhouse yet the look of disgust she had tonight…I doubt if Longhorns is even an afterthought …dear management if you ate some strangers hair on your mother’s birthday and still gave the restaurant a redemption chance don’t avoid the people and damn sure don’t send out empty 57 sauce…beyond disappointed, I expected better from the brand. Chick-fil-A is fast food and can manage to give better customer service !! Warning, eat at...
Read moreI went to long horn Thursday night after work. I was meeting my sister for a quick dinner. I arrived around 9:45, and my sister came a few minutes after. Let me say first the host let it be known that they close at 10 Like I didn’t know and it’s not posted on the door. I brushed it off cause they are having a bad night not me. So the manager gets our drinks and our server Caynce comes takes our order. Took him 15 mins to get our margarita and then he order the wrong margarita. I’m not tripping about it. We order a spinach dip and two salads. First off the spinach dip comes 5 mins after the salad, and it’s burnt on top but you can tell they scraped the cheese off. Strike one you playing with my food now. Then Caynce never checks back in. I had to stop him to ask for a water. I can already tell he’s being a little pissy. I ask him about his night and he had the audacity to tell us we’re inconsiderate and we shouldn’t have came in 20 mins before close. That we know how it is since we work in the service industry and we shouldn’t haven’t came in there late expecting good food and good service. So you play with my food, and then you tell me I shouldn’t come in there cause I work in the service industry as well. Heard my money is no good in longhorn because of what time I came in? Sorry that we inconvenienced Caynce by coming in 20 mins before close. So apparently it’s a time limit on when you can come in per Caynce. Please do better and find another job if this is how you treat guest who comes in to spend they’re hard earn money so you can make a living as well!!!!!!! Won’t be back due to the horrible service and...
