If I could give this establishment negative stars I certainly would!! Sadly this will be a one of my Only negative reviews given.
As a local - I will never support this place. I will also never recommend this restaurant thru our blog, videos or to our readers based off today’s experience alone.
We arrived as 4 to eat here today. Our friends went in, they seated them before we came in and were told they would do so as long as they ordered food for us all. (Odd but ok) So they did just that. We walked into the establishment 12 min after they did as we attended to some business before taking our seats. We could see our drinks on the table. Our friends had their drinks as well.
The hostess came up to us, grabbed my arm and said we weren’t allowed in the restaurant. I said excuse me ? She said we weren’t allowed to sit, or eat or drink our drinks and would need to be on the wait list like anyone else. Even tho we had a table for 4 and she seated our friends ahead of us. Our friends - Ma’am you told us to order for them and they could sit when they came in and now they can’t ?! She said that’s the policy. Get over it and they need to leave.
Customers around us were floored. We were floored. Our waitress said no- they ordered and will sit and enjoy. The hostess was so upset, she yelled at another customer as well.
At this time my husband walked around the corner and she suddenly Told my husband we were next to be seated and she’d get us fresh drinks. Excuse me what ?!?! Complete nonsense and personality flip. She refused to get a manager for us as well.
We did sit. We did eat our food and we promptly left. The food was bland and we simply ate it as it was already ordered. I wish we had not and left, as we did nothing wrong, but were assaulted. Never an apology.
I have never been treated so rudely in my life. DO NOT SUPPORT this...
Read moreWe dined in August. The prices are good, but the food is average. We were a party of 12 and they were able to seat us quickly, but it took an hour to receive our food. We were surprised it took that long since others around us were receiving their food. No one updated us on the progress of our meals. For some reason, our server Gracie seemed a bit irritated. When she served the drinks, she stayed on one end of the table and had us pass the drinks all the way down the table. That's not service. She could have walked and served those who ordered the drinks. She would constantly pass food or syrup, etc across the people sitting on the end instead of coming to the side to serve. She said she always feels bad passing items across the customers but clearly not bad enough to stop. The customer should not have to stop what they are doing so that the server can pass something across them. That's a bit rude. Now for the food. The portion sizes was a great value for the price. The blueberry, strawberry, and plain pancakes were big and thick. They were average. They offered turkey sausage. The omelets were on the small side. The chicken looked delicious but was unseasoned. Our server brought us one syrup that we had to constantly pass back and forth down the table. Two would have been nice. She grabbed it off a previous customer's table. It had syrup running all down the side and there was a clump of butter on the bottom. That was not a great presentation. She was annoyed when I asked for it to be cleaned. I mean that was a reasonable request. We most likely would not visit again based on the service...
Read moreIf you're looking for a warm, welcoming breakfast spot in Gatlinburg, look no further than Little House of Pancakes. This place is more than just a restaurant—it feels like a second home. Every visit is a reminder of why we continue to bring every out-of-town guest here without hesitation.
On our latest visit, I ordered the French toast with two eggs and sausage. It was delicious, but what truly stole the show was their house-made pure cane sugar syrup. One bite transported me back to childhood Saturday mornings at my grandparents’ house, where my grandmother's French toast was a weekend ritual. This meal (with the syrup) is nostalgic, comforting, and simply unforgettable.
We came in with a group of seven, and although it was busy, the staff handled it with grace. There was a short wait to place our order and receive our food, but the quality and care put into every plate made it more than worth it.
What sets Little House of Pancakes apart from chain pancake houses is the genuine care they show for their customers. The atmosphere is friendly and familiar—you’re treated like family from the moment you walk in. It’s that personal touch and consistent excellence that keep us coming back.
Whether it’s your first morning in Gatlinburg or your tenth, do yourself a favor and start your day here. I’m confident you’ll return again before your trip ends—just like we always do. Great service, amazing food, and a heartwarming experience every...
