DO NOT STAY HERE! I think the positive reviews are FAKE! I booked in December 2022 10 rooms for a travel sports club to stay Feb 2, 2023-Feb 6, 2023 for a tournament. 3 Families came in on Feb 2, NO HOT WATER! We talked to the owner and the maintenance staff which apparently only consist of 2 people which are also the people who clean and maintain the sheets, linens and everything else that goes along with running this property. They kept promising us water would be hot in 20 mins, that turned into water will be hot in 30 mins. Needless to say 4 hours later NO HOT WATER still. We ended up leaving and booking other hotels, which were hard to find day of with many hotels being completely full. Several other of our families went ahead and canceled their reservations and moved hotels also. A couple families stayed because they were under the impression the water was going to be working. The hot water never worked. It was excuse after excuse. The maintenance crew said no one told them the water wasn't hot. BUT WE DID! Text after Text. As did the families that stayed there. If you look at previous reviews, which we didn't see when we booked. The hotel hasn't hot water since Jan 5th 2023. The owner claimed the water was cold because of the weather. It's Tennessee in the winter, that means the weather is COLD! I was able to get a refund, but it was a disaster. The owner acted like he was too busy out of town to deal with any of the issues his hotel was having. His 2 person staff is completely run down having to deal with this mess of a hotel. They need more help, one person shouldn't be cleaning every room. With no hot water that means the linens aren't being cleaned properly. The rooms aren't being cleaned properly. Sanitation is an issue with freezing cold water. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HOTEL! I try not to leave negative reviews but this needs to be said so no one else takes a family to a hotel that is this rundown and unsanitary with...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to Gatlinburg for two nights to celebrate his birthday. This was my first time going. We came across this hotel and it had great reviews and it was extremely affordable. I HIGHLY recommend this place!! It may not be a luxury hotel BUT it is AMAZING! The rooms are simple yet comfy and impeccably clean!! There is a common room with vending machines, ps3, games, books, pool table, a phone and a computer. WiFi is free too! There is a basketball goal outside and a cute outside sitting area with fire pits. We had a cute bear made out of towels with chocolates when we arrived. The BEST part of this place is the stuff HANDS DOWN! I have never encountered hotel staff more friendly then these guys! George is awesome! He suggested places to go and when he found out it was my boyfriend’s birthday said if he would have known before we were leaving that he would have done something for us. They even provide their cell phone numbers so if you need something while they are away from the front desk you can reach them. They stock a cooler out front for guest to grab water bottles too! Trust me you won’t be disappointed staying here! The ONLY thing I would have liked to see different was the smoking area. I did not mind having a specific smoking area but it wasn’t well lit. Upon arrival we were told there are a couple bears that walk up the hill so I was a little scared out there at night by myself. Other than that minor detail I have nothing negative to say about our stay! I am very thankful and enjoyed every minute. I will definitely be returning.
Oh also, it’s close to the main strip of shops AND you don’t have to worry about losing that stupid key card that gets demagnetized all the time because the rooms here have key pads to punch in a four digit code to enter your room. I loved...
Read moreI don’t understand why this place has so many high reviews! We stayed for a few nights over thanksgiving and it was questionable to put it nicely. The lobby was nonexistent which is to day it was locked and NEVER open. We though the place was abandoned initially and were concerned about our safety staying there. . Checkin was only done by cell phone and you are texted a door code. Never saw anyone who worked there. We were assured there was a trolly that ran every half hour and stopped across the street from the hotel. Didn’t want to park downtown because it was $20 due to the holiday. We NEVER saw it. So we walked a ton! I have ankle problems and was in so much pain. The bed was a couple of twin mattresses and frames pushed together with an absurdly loud protective plastic cover over them. So anytime you shifted in the bed you heard it. The table and chair looked like they were from the dollar store. We were on the ground floor and apparently when you shower you are supposed to leave the bathroom window open….um. Yeah it is so great that people could walk by and see into your shower! . And it was really cold so it made bathing unpleasant. Add to that, shower head was super low so my son who was just over 6ft had to practically fold himself in half. The ac is a window unit that was set into the cinderblock wall that when turned on clogged both my son’s and my sinuses so badly that we could not breathe at all during the night. It looked run down and was unpleasant. Will not be staying there EVER again. For what I paid I could have stayed at a closer hotel to downtown that felt safer and had better...
