Woodgrain Pizzeria — Restaurant in Geneva Township

I waited 45-60 minutes for my food. I was told several times by a lead that it would be out soon, she even came and took my receipt saying she’d refund me for my order. She never returned with my receipt or my food. My mom had heard her tell the kitchen staff to make my food and still after 20-30 minutes it wasn’t out. I had to go inside to find her and tell her my food still hadn’t come out. She repeated my order to me and told the kitchen staff to make it. One of the members of the staff then told me my ticket was the next one and acted like they were making the food in the order that they received the orders. I told her that I had seen MANY people come in, order, eat, and leave in the time that I had been waiting for my food. However, she ignored me. I had to stand at the kitchen entrance to ensure my food was made. Now today, I see that I was never even refunded like I was told I would be. No manager ever came to speak to me, no one acknowledged how long I had to wait, and when I was trying to express my concerns I was ignored. Very frustrating experience.

I’ve been here several other times because it has Oberweis and That Burger Joint attached to it. It also has a fun playground for the children in my family. Usually we have a pretty good experience other than it being pretty dirty inside and they often do not restock items as needed (e.g., lids, silverware, drinks, etc.). Tried the pizza, first time last night. We bought four for our taste test. • 1 Topping Pizza • Chicken Spinach & Bacon • Sriracha BBQ Chicken • Unlimited Topping Pizza While what was on top of the crust was really good, lots of flavors and fresh ingredients, actually better than most other pizza’s in the area, the crusts weren’t. The crust was almost soggy, without substance and almost uncooked yet the bottom of pies were largely blackened, with an almost acrid taste. There was so much blackness on the bottom that our plates were largely covered with a black dust from the char falling off the bottom. Unless the oven was way too hot and desperately in need of some end-of shift clean-up I can’t quite figure how the crusts were both uncooked and burnt at the same time. Let me start by saying that this restaurants employees are extremely impolite. I’ve seen better behavior at Burger King. When I first walked into this tri-brand location I was asked by a cashier to please hurry and order so she could take her break and I thought this was very rude. Next I was watching the Woodgrain Staff make my pizza and they messed up 3 times. Then a song came on and all the employees pretty much slowed down to dance.
