This was our first time here after we had heard good reviews from friends. We got in and it was very busy, which we took as a sign it was a good place. I’ve worked in food service so I’m sympathetic to a busy and noticeably understaffed store. We wait a little while for our food and start noticing people who came in after us that are getting their food. I ask the waitress how it’s going and she said it’s next up. About 15 minutes later, after we watched several other orders get served (50 minutes after we had ordered) we decide to ask and thankfully received a refund as we have to leave to get our kids to bed. They do end up giving us our food to go. We get our hangry selves and disappointed cranky kids home and dive into this disgusting, greasy and mishmash order. It wasn’t even the correct order. We eat a few bites and then throw it out. Just an overall awful experience and we sadly won’t ever go back. I wanted to share with you all so hopefully they can fix this for other people to have a good experience there. It just...
Read moreFirst time trying this place out today, it was very good. I’ll be back but I’ll have a much better understanding with the whole set up and strange ordering and pick-up “process”. The little bar area will be visited at some point on a random booze day. The music was either ok or just plain terrible. Any place which allows both love shack and walking on sunshine both to be played in a 20 minute span needs to reconfigure what they’re trying to accomplish music-wise. Hard to allow the soft shell spicy ground beef taco to go down the gullet and into the inner-sanctum when you overhear some old hillbillies wailing away yelling about a stupid shack no one gives a hoot about. Play some old school mexican or even some Slayer, both are family friendly musical tastes. Get this, as I write this awesome review, it’s night time and Yabo is exiting now. Ghost pepper hat sass is really good stuff, try it. Open up Yabo Taco in Cabo Wabo....
Read moreLove yabo's, been eating here for years. I dropped the rating because my last few trips just didn't go as well. Chips not seasoned, bland meat, tacos lacking filling.
My biggest issue is just the cost, prices on everything have gone up and I get it, we are seeing this everywhere, but with the price at Yabo's.. I can't see justifying it in the future.
2 adults + two kids ...$50 bill before tip and that was sharing a nacho dip with my wife + just 1 additional taco and kids both just had a couple tacos.
Love yabo's, but for $60 for the family, there are better choices, or I can just go authentic Mexican and save about $20.
Not saying I will never order again, still like the food, but going to only do taco Tuesdays or carry out...
