More Than Cake LLC — Restaurant in Georgetown

My wife picked us up some lunch from "More than Cake LLC" and if I had to give one word to describe our experience it would have to be disappointment. My wife picked up 2 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips that aren't made in house, and 2 cupcakes for a total cost of better than $20. On the plus side, the orange dreamcicle cupcakes are some of the best cupcakes I've ever had. The chips were fine too, on par with every other bagged chip joint you'll find, think Panera or Subway. The sandwiches, however, leave a lot to be desired. The buns are supposedly made in house but tasted no different than a microwave heated roll that comes out of the kroger bread aisle. The meat, while tasty, was so sparsely applied to the sandwich that it was hard to tell if I had meat in every bite or not (think one to maybe 2 thin slices of deli meat for an entire sandwich). And to top it all off, they forgot to put all the toppings that we asked and paid for on my wife's sandwich (both sandwiches were supposed to be identical). In my opinion this establishment would be much better served just calling themselves "Cake LLC", as far as the "and more" portion, not so much. If you wanna fantastic cupcake, give this place a shot, they're probably hard to beat but if your thinking about trying a sandwich do yourself a favor and go...

Went there to get a few cupcakes for a friend's birthday that night. Unfortunately, I didn't know at the time they were only open for advanced reservations. The owner opened the door and asked what I needed and was so sweet to accommodate my request! She invited me in to wait while she decorated the cupcakes and offered a drink while I waited in her ADORABLE restaurant. She packed and packaged the cupcakes beautifully and thoughtfully. I asked for different flavors and they were ALL DELICIOUS! We didn't even know one was vegan!

I later found out that she can accommodate for breakfast, lunch, dinners, or events at her restaurant with advanced notice. She even caters! The only reason she's not open is because it's just her and can't get any help.

Seeing and tasting what she can do is amazing and I'd definitely go to More Than Cakes again for any event! Great venue for a tea party/ bridal shower/ brunch... if you talk with her, she'll...

On Wednesday I ordered some cupcakes for my daughters birthday. The lady taking my order was really nice however whoever was in the background that she was having to ask questions to sounded a bit rude. I ordered 12 cupcakes blue icing with gray shark fins....sounded simple. After placing the order my total was 35.88. I thought it was a little over priced for such simple cupcakes but I continued with my order anyway. I picked them up on Saturday morning and they looked absolutely nothing like I pictured they would. The icing was smeared all inside the box and they looked like a kid had put the icing on them. I could only hope that they would taste better than they looked. Well they didn’t, they were dry and tasted old. I have never in my life given a bad review but after sharing the photo with several people they advised I should share my experience.
