Let me start by saying that this was the FIRST time in my life (I am 33) where I have left an Arby's without ringing the service bell saying they did a good job. Today I witnessed a man that ordered "a number 2" get argued with by the elderly woman Pat that works the front counter. In standard operating procedure for fast food, the numbered MEALS mean they are "combos" (i.e. combination meals) that INCLUDE fries AND a drink. If you walk up to the counter of ANY fast food restaurant and give them a combo meal number, they ask what you want to drink and/or what size meal you want. However, in this instance Pat did not charge him for the meal. She charged him for a sandwich and a drink separately and became irate when he asked where his fries were because they were not in the bag. Pat then tells him that he is wrong and when he ordered a number 2, he only ordered the sandwich. Even though everyone knows that a number 2 means a meal. The first thing on the sign after the number 2 picture is the column that says MEAL. She however was adamant that the sandwich only option was the standard for the number 2 and then tried to get her manager to take her side. The manager (I think this woman was the manager) just simply asked if he had wanted fries, he said yes and she went to get them. Then Pat proceeded to charge this man more money for HER error. PAT YOU ARE WRONG. Stop arguing with your customers and admit when you make a mistake. Apologize, give the man his fries and MOVE ON. If you don't do something about Pat's attitude, you are going to lose customers. This was the single most ridiculous fast food encounter I have ever witnessed and I worked food service for a while. Come on,...
Read moreOh no, not again fast food! My Husband loves Arby's. Whenever he craves it, I find something on the menu. We ordered a classic beef and cheddar for him and I ordered a jalapeno slider, ranch chicken wrap and curly fries. We were the only ones in line. They had us pull up to wait. I decided to go in because I didn't tell them I wanted sauce. I noticed that they put the slider in the microwave. So I asked them for a fresh bun not in the microwave because of course it will only take a few minutes for it to be rock hard. They were helpful, there were only two of them there. One cooking and one working the drive-thru and front counter, but it made me feel very uncomfortable seeing that he was packing our food with no gloves on. This is not good. This is the reason why all of us are getting sick. Handling money and credit cards and then to not use gloves to touch food is bad. Then I get in the car and notice there were no jalapenos on my slider. I didn't go back in. We will wait to see after we send this review to their website in hopes that they do better on prepping and handling food. ...
