We were deeply disappointed with the service we received from Eggs Up Grill during our recent catering order. As a military organization, we placed an order for a classic buffet breakfast, which was clearly outlined on their website to include various items. However, upon pickup, we were surprised to find that the grits we had ordered, listed as part of the Classic Breakfast Buffet, were missing.
Initially, I returned to the restaurant and was informed that our chosen option only included either grits or home fries, but not both. Understanding the situation, I inquired about purchasing additional grits for our event, but unfortunately, the restaurant couldn’t accommodate due to limited supplies. Despite trying to find alternative solutions, including a smaller order, our efforts were unsuccessful. To clarify the discrepancy, my coworker and I referred back to the restaurant’s website, which explicitly listed grits as part of the Classic Buffet.
THIS IS COPIED STRAIGHT FROM THEIR WEBSITE:
Classic Buffet Scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries, grits, and grilled buttermilk biscuits. Add sausage gravy for an additional charge.
Armed with this information, we reached out to the restaurant again. However, instead of addressing our concerns, the manager was dismissive, unhelpful, rude, and ultimately hung up in our faces after stating, “We provided you with your complete order,” and “I don’t have time for this.” This lack of customer service is unacceptable, especially in light of being thanked and appreciated for our service in one breath and being hung up on in the next.
We firmly believe that we are owed a refund for the missing portion of our order. It’s imperative that management addresses the inconsistencies between their website and actual offerings. Regrettably, this experience has soured our perception of Eggs Up Grill, and we will be taking our business elsewhere...
Read moreI ordered a schmorgesborg of a brunch for delivery today for my fiancé and I, which included crabcake benedicts, southwest scramble bowl, two orders of grits, two orders of biscuits and gravy, a summer berry salad, French toast with a side of sausage, and two of their juice cocktails. When the order arrived, we only received one order of biscuits and gravy. Nothing else. When I called the store they confirmed that the food was not picked up. We live a 25 minute drive from there, so I asked if we came up there, if they could just remake the order for us, since by the time we get there the food would have been sitting for well over an hour. They said no, but we’ll reheat your food. I hate when restaurants use delivery services and just leave the food on a shelf for anyone to touch and then take no responsibility for the delivery of that food to the customer. The receipt for the order was on the bag with the biscuits and did not have any indication that there were multiple bags for the order, and no name written on the bag so the driver could have identified them on their own. This was entirely the fault of Eggs Up Grill. The managers response to reheat our food after that was ridiculous. I have worked in numerous restaurants. If the food is salvageable, you never tell the customer you’re “just reheating it” unless that’s what they asked for. And they did not offer any kind of refund or credit or even a comped appetizer or anything. I had only discovered this place in the last several months and have enjoyed the food, but due to their terrible management, will certainly never spend my money this...
Read moreThe food is great, no denying that, but the service was below average. The employees don't have any sort of etiquette. Barely acknowledge you or tell you the process -- for instance, is there a wait? Am I standing here for no reason? Am i in the way? Will someone be with us shortly? You know basic stuff. One of the workers looks about 12 years old, doodling at the POC, not paying attention to tables that needed clearing, the customers, or anything really, just lost in space. There were like 6 empty tables and none of the workers had any sort of common sense to wipe them down. The manager came around the back, asked for a rag and did it herself. I should've left at that point. Finally, it was our turn to sit, and the worker points at us with 2 fingers, and her body facing away from us, as if we are nobodies. Talking about "yea, the table is for them". Make eye contact, smile, and don't point at people like objects. The waiter was friendly, the food came out quick. But man, yall need to make some changes to the front of the house. There must be someone looking for a job that has some basic knowledge of customer service. I may give this place another shot in the future cause the food was good, but definitely will not come back if there are no improvements at the front of the house. It wasn't...
