I wanted a breakfast sandwich and decided to go to the Boar’s Head to get one. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and was told 5-10 minutes wait on the eggs. The wait was fine because I had time before I needed to board my flight. I did wait a little longer for them to have the eggs available. I wasn’t sure how they were cooking the eggs but thinking it shouldn’t be that long. Again, I had a few more minutes to spare. When the eggs were available, I will give them credit for pushing out the orders as fast as they could. Where they went wrong was not having any order or organization of which customers ordered their food first. For those of us waiting and wanting eggs with our sandwiches, our names were not taken down. The staff would not have remembered who has been waiting first, second, etc. They were just calling out our food orders. Well multiple people had the same orders so, we aren’t paying attention to which customers were waiting the longest for their order. This was annoying. If it wasn’t for the kind people that actually noticed I have been waiting for a long time, I would not have gotten my food and waited longer. The sandwich was exactly what it is. I thought the eggs were scrambled but it was round, flat egg. I would suggest to do ingredients quality/quantity check so items can stay replenished. Also, if customers have to wait, at least take their names so items doesn’t cause any confusion. One customer did express their concerns about how long they have been waiting and other customers that ordered after them were able to get their food. I will say they staff were not rude from what I can observed. If the organization and customer service is improved, I may...
Read moreDuring a recent visit to the Boar’s Head Café at the Atlanta airport, I was disappointed with the level of service my wife and I experienced. While waiting in line—with only one customer ahead of us—an employee was restocking bottled water in the cooler directly in front of the counter. This action obstructed the customer from placing their order and continued for approximately two to three minutes, during which we all simply stood waiting.
When the employee finished and walked away, no one behind the counter acknowledged the customer. Despite four staff members being present, none appeared engaged or attentive. Eventually, one employee took the customer's order.
When it was our turn, we waited another two minutes before our order was taken. My wife ordered the Italian sandwich, and I chose the Blazing sandwich. The counter displayed a case of premade sandwiches placed on glass shelves, with no indication of how long they had been sitting there.
It took about five minutes for our order to be prepared, which was reasonable as my sandwich was heated. However, the experience at the register was lacking; the employee processing our payment was notably unfriendly and gave the impression that serving customers was an inconvenience.
The sandwiches themselves were adequate, but we expected a higher standard of quality and service from an establishment associated with the...
Read moreNeeded a quick lunch today at the Atlanta airport. Every other food joint was busy so we went ahead with this place. The line did go by pretty fast. It's nice that they have a menu board. I'm a visual eater so it was great that they had a ton of pre made sammys on display. The ham and cheese on sliced white bread called my name.
The gentleman behind the counter helped us. We confirmed what the sandwiches were that caught our eye, there was no label for them. He asked if we wanted our sammys hot. It sounded nice so we got them toasted. We also asked for mayo and mustard to be added on our sandwiches. I personally would have liked some fresh veggies added my to sandwich but it's not an option.
The bread was nicely toasted but still soft. It did have a lot of ham to the sandwich. The cheddar cheese was a nice addition to the sandwich. It was a really one noted sandwich in texture. No crunch our freshness to it. It was a decent basic sandwich. If you like basic, this sammy is for you.
This joint is conveniently in the middle of all the gates so it's an easy place to eat. But after noticing other food vendors down by our gate, I probably could have passed on this sandwich. The staff was nice and the food was basic....
