STAY AWAY!! Used to like this place but will never go back and will never recommend again!! Ordered some food to-go for a family meal and when we got home we noticed a pasta dish and side was missing. We called the restaurant and to let them know (thinking they would apologize and refund the two missing dishes and we all move on with our lives but no). The manager Paul answered the call and right away got defensive and said he asked every single worker in the restaurant and they all said they saw the dishes (not sure why every single worker would work on one to-go order with 4 entrees but if they did see the dishes they all definitely weren’t given to us). We were more than polite and patient with the situation. We simply asked for a refund for the entree and side dish that did not make it home. He refused to give us a refund and kept arguing with us that they were given to us and it was our fault we couldn’t find the missing dishes. Paul even went as far as asking where we lived and throughout this situation he kept putting us on hold for several minutes at a time and then would continue to argue and kept saying he went back to all the staff and asked them about our order. He continued to refuse a refund and blamed the missing meals were on us. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were given to another to-go order on accident or if they found the dishes in the kitchen. This isn’t an inexpensive restaurant so we were trying to get a refund for the portion of food that was not given, but we decided to hang up due to Paul’s aggressiveness and lack of compassion for the situation. Paul and owner of Crispinas, do better. Don’t blame your mistakes on your customers. A manager is supposed to be the face of the restaurant and Paul clearly lacks people and...
Read moreWe ate here Monday, 8-8-25. Wanted to try ir for a long time as Scalini's, now closed after decades, and Fusco's, that has recently closed. Provino's has been a decent backup. My daughter loved Ippolita's and when Crispino's opened in the same spot my husband and I had been hoping to try it and hoped it would be amazing. It was not. It was 6:30 and not very busy. Server came and brought water and menus. We noticed some of the banquettes needed attention, etc. We both ordered drinks with my husband also ordering a Caesar salad. It was nothing special but okay. Except for the stale croutons. The bread on the table was not flavorful, it was cold and the olive oil had no herbs. I finally decided on a pizza and my husband ordered a seafood pasta that included shrimp, calamari and clams. They bring his meal but told me that the pizza oven was not working. Wow. So I finally ordered an appetizer.....which was not as described. The server never once asked if we needed water or another beverage. My husband's pasta had 2 shrimp, 2 calamari tentacles and over half of the clam shells were empty. And no, they had not simply dropped to the bottom of the bowl...they were non-existent . The server dropped off the bill, no dessert mentioned and no questions as to why we ate very little. Someone, perhaps a manager, came and picked up the bill and credit card. He said nothing. The server returned with our card and that was that. No dessert offered. My husband and I could not remember the last time we such a disappointing meal. My husband even wrote this on the check. We will never return but may try the Vinings...
Read moreI have repeatedly given this place chances but after last night I’m finally done dining here. On multiple occasions I have seen and heard Paul brag about firing all his staff, yell and berate his staff, force them to leave false reviews and even make rude remarks about other guests. I may be wrong, but it seems this man is the general manager. Last night was the last straw when I heard him yelling at the man making the pizzas. He was yelling at him and also speaking negatively to other employees about how the man had made his “biggest enemy”. The food here is amazing, and my family and I always mind our own business and just try to enjoy our time together. This, however, has become unacceptable to a point where Paul creates a non family friendly environment that is so hostile it is noticed by customers such as myself. Not to mention, it has become impossible over the last few visits to even enjoy our meals because of the constant and intrusive approaches made by him. When I dine out with my family it is to spend time with them and unwind. Not to be harassed by a manager & listen to him absolutely verbally abuse his employees. Crispina needs to do better, & I will not continue dining here. I recommend an anger management therapist and a new general manager. I’m shocked this man is allowed to...
