First time here. Adorable. Hard to go as a female to a sushi place and eat and pay for one roll and be done - but here - I get so many flavors and not worry about the price. Daughter, husband and I ate to our hearts content for $35. Unheard of. The wait was long, but we sat at the bar next door and had a beer and 3 Sprites. Support the local economy...
Had a nice time. This place was not obnoxious and loud - it was fun and good eats. Thank you for running a place families can enjoy!
Thought I'd add more to give you an idea... Grab something off the belt as it rolls by if it looks good to you or order it off a screen at your table. I thought it was a full priced roll if you ordered it, but that's not the case. Basically, most things were less than $3-5ish. You stack the plates and they count them and add to your screen orders to tally the bill. Simple.
Reading other reviews, the service, long wait, and half closed dining room are valid considerations. But with service industry, supply chain, and all other issues related to covid - nothing is as we knew it and I can't compare to what was. Haven't had fun in awhile and it was nice to experience something new without paying hibachi prices.
The server we saw once and the Asian ladies are all pleasant business as they sat hungry anxious people who had been waiting long. I appreciated not feeling rushed at the table. We could enjoy the food and experience and it's nice to put your money out there and walk away happy. I'm a tapas person - love small plates with different flavors at your fingertips. This place did it for me. Fun to share with 2-4 folks. Unless I missed something - it looks like it would be difficult for a large group to enjoy and socialize as the booths were just that - a booth. I can't remember if booths accommodate 6 - think so. Tip - sit next to the belt :). Downside to that - you're handing out the food. But I didn't mind.
The first time I ordered off the screen and was waiting for it - the little food train zoomed by. I thought - how in the world do you get your food off that... The train knew it's destination and stops at your table. I loved that hot food was hot - food went from the preparer's hands to my hand and wasn't sitting in a window waiting. ...
Read moreGreat place to eat if you love sushi. There are a few non sushi items on the menu, but not much. Prices are based on how many plates you eat. Each plate you pull off the conveyor is $2.60. Other items you order off the menu will vary. As far as the quality of the food. I would give it a 7/10. It's not the best, but not the worst. Their soups and noodle bowls are great on cold days. I recommend trying all of them like I did. I only found 2 things I didn't like, but that's because of personal preference. Highly recommend for the experience.
Update: 3/4/2025 Recently visited, and I have changed my opinion since my original review. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great place to eat, just not for me anymore. Main reason. Pricing. It seems to be higher since the last time I visited a year ago. Seems to be constantly rising as time goes on. I understand why, but I would also like the value of my food to go up as well. Food quality seems almost the same but had slightly declined since I first started visiting this place 5+ years ago, and I have visited many times since. Will I return for more visits? Maybe not. They would have to do something drastic to lure me back. Maybe new menu items? Better quality food? I'm not sure at this point. Perhaps a reward system for loyal customers to entice people like me to return more frequently if my loyalty is rewarded? Just a thought.
Update: Visited again today (7/22/2025). Experience was slightly better than last as far as food went. One thing I noticed that was not good, in my opinion. The server kept putting her index finger inside the glasses of people's drinks when taking them to get refills. Granted, she had gloves on, but how long has she had them on, and what has she touched with them? Most people wear gloves to protect their own hands from filth. When it's supposed to be used for safe food handling and are constantly changed out when they get soiled or come into contact with unsafe food surfaces or dirty matter that can contaminate food/drinks.
With that said, I don't know if I'll be eating there if that particular...
Read moreThe service at this rotating sushi restaurant is terrible. I have eaten here several times with my husband and children. The service was bad every time. I remember that once I paid with a card and gave an 18% tip. Later I found that they changed my tip without authorization and charged me several more dollars. There was almost no service in this restaurant. They didn't come to greet me after I got the water. Even in the end, I paid and signed before I left the seat. A young male waiter started to clean my seat, which was very rude. The second time I came, it was an old lady waiter. She didn't serve except for getting water and chairs, but I still gave them an 18% tip because I think it's really not easy for them to be waiters at such an old age. The third time I came to this restaurant was the worst experience ever. Because my children like to eat sushi, I came to this restaurant again. This time the waiter was an old man. I was standing at the cashier to make a reservation. He saw me and looked at me with a very unhappy look. He kept staring at me, and I felt offended. He later took us to sit down and was not polite at all, without any smile, I asked him to get a high chair for my one year old child, he ignored me and went to get water, when he came back to give us water, I asked him again to help get the high chair, he was very impatient, and didn't serve us later, the two tables in front and behind me were served, and they were all very polite, especially the white table, he was very attentive, often greeted with a smile, I felt we were racially discriminated against, so I gave him a very small tip this time, I know this old man waiter is Chinese and looks like Cantonese, I don't understand why this restaurant is served by a group of old guys, poor service, poor appearance, poor attitude, unprofessionalism affects...
