I have had it with these none authentic asian food in the Cobb area. I knew something was not right when the wait time was less than 10 min on a weekend with non asian to asian ratio was a 10-1 us being the 1 asian group . ( just explain an example there were less than 10 table of customers) This place is even below that quality of being so cheap to the kroger value quality to the water down side dishes. Charging that type of price for what is being served to customers is beyond me. maybe charging $24 to customers that are simply don't care about the quality and taste and only purpose is to get their proteins in for the sake of keto or Atkins diet, I don't see why anyone else would step into this place again. Took my family got charged $38.99 per person for a family nearly of 10 people. We forced to eat way less than normally would. Warm sushi which we knew was going to be a fail just the way it looked. side dishes taste bland like it was marinating in water. Took my family home and ate food from home and the ones that didn't eat, end their night unsatisfied This place is new and i can see it closing down soon. They think they are banking their business will thrive though the KSU college students. If they have a shot to any long business possibility they will have to add more cuts of meat & sushi to the menu to cater to people that are familiar with moke authentic Korean BBQ & Sushi. what they have now they should be ashamed of themselves as business owners to serve their cultures food and charging that kind of price. Not representing Korean and Japanese food in a respectful way. To be honest i feel like eventually someone is going to get sick eating here if they haven't already. Just they way the food came out and the process setting of this place. My 30 years of owning multi business types and my experience of being a business developer and one of them being a restaurant of a capacity size of 600 people location. I really dont see this place thriving long if they don't make serious changes soon. We came to to this place as a experiment and it was quite a experiment project they had going on there. hopefully they read this and take it in consideration in making changes to making their business better. I really want to see business and take their investment and their customers seriously. I will revisit their website in a few months to see if any changes and give it one more chance. and if its standards come to at least doable ( Doesn't have to be a 10/10 but at least a 5/10) then i will remove this review and write a review that will reflect my opinion better than this one. I am going to Duluth today just to get some real korean bbq just to forget what I consumed over the weekend. Good luck to anyone that choose to eat this place. I will pray...
Read moreWhile the concept of eating Korean BBQ and sushi together is cool, I’m not sure if I can say I enjoyed the food at Q Korean BBQ and Revolving Sushi.
The Korean BBQ was just… not good. Something about the flavors of the meats and veggies were off and I had one bite of the brisket to know I didn’t want any more of that. For the sushi, some were pretty decent, others not so much. I was shocked after having the Philly roll because the cream cheese tasted TERRIBLE. I’m not a picky eater at all, but even for all of that food, $38-39 did not seem like a good deal, noting how bad the quality was (and it just wasn’t good!) The Korean BBQ menu was just sad to look at, as a Korean person that has been eating this my whole life. I’m also very confused as to how other reviews are saying they liked the “high quality food” when you can literally taste the old ingredients and hardened rice from the sushi. Maybe it caters and satisfies the clientele in the Kennesaw area, but a restaurant like this would not survive a day in somewhere like Duluth.
My main issue though, was how the older Asian men that were running through the entire restaurant CONSTANTLY, kept coming up to our table literally EVERY 30 seconds to check up on us. Yes, they were picking up our plates too - which was very nice and helped with not keeping the tables crowded - I feel like there is a fine line between good, attentive service and just straight up hovering over you. I mean every time I would try to do fire control for the grill (and yes, I know what I’m doing as I also used to work in Korean BBQ myself) someone would immediately flag me down. At some point I had to secretly adjust the fire when they weren’t looking! It seemed as they were the upper management people or maybe even the owners, but it started to really bother me at some point and I almost asked if they could stop. On the other hand, our server (forgot her name but it started with a K) was amazing and super sweet! We made sure to leave her a generous tip. Only reason for the 3 stars. Maybe just a little tip for the upper management if you’re reading this, customers don’t like being bugged the whole time they’re eating. Let them know enjoy and let them call you over if they need you.
To be fair, I don’t think I’ve ever had a good restaurant that served both Korean BBQ and Sushi. Maybe the margins are impossible to satisfy unless they lower the quality. Overall, won’t...
Read moreWe’ve had a lot of kbbq so thought we’d give this place a shot. We’re not disappointed, but definitely have had better. I don’t think it’s worth how much was paid. Finding the restaurant was easy, we got there around 3:40ish so the place was pretty empty and we’re seated immediately. We ordered the kbbq and sushi dinner. Your side dishes are on the conveyor belt with the sushi and the meat comes to your table via a little truck above the sushi belt. The sushi isn’t worth paying for, as the main focus of the restaurant is the kbbq. Quality of fish was lacking and the rice is normal medium grain rice instead of sushi rice. variety of rolls are very limited. It probably would’ve been better to get better quality fish for such a small variety being offered. The salmon tasted very watered down and didn’t have much marbling, leaving you with a bland fish. The tuna we didn’t touch as it looked like dry watermelon. It was not as dark, silky and sheen as it should be. The banchans were good and there were plenty to choose from. It’s a little discouraging when a large section of the conveyor belt is empty. The best things we ordered were the brisket and garlic pork belly (husband thought pork belly was a bit salty). The filet mignon tastes more like sirloin, and was very chewy. Not good quality. I would’ve forgone filet mignon and opted to serve galbi instead. The bulgogi was immediately disheartening as the marinade was very clear, and light colored, and the meat was still very light pink. It didn’t smell like how bulgogi should. Cooked and tasted, it was heavy on the sesame and lacked the sweet and savory that bulgogi normally has, resulting in a bland meat. Didn’t brown as well as it should have due to the marinade not having any sugar. Service was really good and balanced between helping with meats and orders, and us doing some of the cooking. I don’t recommend for large parties (more than 4) as the place is a little small and it would be a struggle to get all the banchans and sushi with a lot of people at your table.
Overall, If I could give it a 3.5 I would. We would come back but for the lunch kbbq, and no sushi. The lunch has the brisket and pork belly’s, so a BASIC kbbq. Mediocre at best, overpriced. Lunch is the best value. I’ll try again in a few months, I’d really like to see this...
