PERSONAL COMMENTARY
The last time I ordered up a hamburger here was 12 years ago, and boy? Has this place changed! The most remarkable memory for me was that you have bags, bags, boxes, and boxes of free peanuts offered. Scoop them out of the box, fill up a paper bowl, and munch! The shells? I remembered not disposing of them, unless dropping them onto the floor is a method of disposal. I remembered when I was going through the food-ordering phase of my experience at the restaurant, how cool it was to have a tromping session on the floor's loose peanut shell top surface.
The burgers though? However the ground beef is prepared isn't the question, but how darn good and juicy the patties are after final sandwich construction is the answer! Answer being; flavor, and full of it. Get ready to sit down to your burger with a order of small fries that will still over-shower the container and fill up the bag your food comes in. I need to come back though and order more options so that I can remember all the other things are available, and available for me to comment on.
My last comment is the clean floors. I feel amiss because I could have sworn that they were meant to be dirtied with empty peanut shells. I did my common nut chomping, threw the shells down where immediately, they were swept up by an employee who scowled at me every time I dropped a shell. Then I am wondering, did I get the peanut thing mixed up with another restaurant like Longhorn, or Texas Road House, or some other steak place? I am quite open and welcoming for other contributors to comment on this! Get a single burger made by five guys! You won't regret...
Read moreI usually have a great experience at Five Guys. Unfortunately this visit, this location, not so much. Ordered call in and arrived to pick up. Sat and waited for order and it was apparent something was wrong. Had to ask for my order. They forgot I guess. They checked and found it and dropped the fries. Had to wait 15 minutes for a call in order. The manager was there and she witnessed the event and did not offer any apology. Then get home and the order is wrong. Missing ingredients and the bacon was borderline raw. You know when it’s real stringy and cold, not crisp and done. Hamburger meat was reddish grey, not done as usual. Need to get corporate involved and get some re-training going on. Would be a little less upset but come on, $38.00 for three burgers and two fries you need to do better. I know the price going in, don’t mind paying for quality, but...
Read moreFive Guys burgers are excellent. The beef is flavorful and the condiment choices are more than average, including grilled mushrooms. Yum. They have an option of getting your burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. It's a nice change. The little burger is only a little smaller than a full size burger at other fast food places. The french fries are very tasty and the portions are HUGE! A large fry is plenty for two people. Restaurant and restrooms are generally clean; I'd prefer they clean the tables a little more thoroughly. The employees are nice. One little oddity - they wouldn't accept dollar coins... NOTE: They offer roasted peanuts while you wait so if you're allergic to peanuts,...
