MY FOOD WAS COLD AT 7am I WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION ‼️
I came through the drive thru a little after 7am on 7/3/2024. I ordered a Sausage and Egg biscuit which I used my points to redeem. When I approached the window I was greeted by the cashier she was sweet she was tall slim, and had long black faux locs. She was having an issue getting her machine to work so she called her manager the manager walked up (she was lighter skinned with shoulder length dreads and a black band on her ring finger). She eventually got the points to work and she (The Manager) bagged my food up and handed it to me. I pulled off as I was on my way to work and when I got down the street literally 1-2 minutes after pulling off I opened my biscuit the first thing I noticed was the egg was cold then I lifted the egg and touched the sausage and it was cold cold. I did not have enough time to turn back around because I would have been late to work. So I called this location at 7:21am and I received a message “The Verizon customer you are trying to reach is busy at the moment please try your call again later.” I called back at 7:35am the phone rung atleast 15 times and no one answered. I was not given a receipt either.
Advice to Management/Franchise Owner: Management- Your job as a Manager is to lead a team it’s not to be buddy buddy with employees you are to lead and train your employees correctly so that they are able to conduct themselves appropriately with customers. As a Manager you should be making sure all of your employees are adhering to the rules of the job, but most importantly that the cook is adhering to proper hold times for food. There is no way that the hold time, and the food was prepared correctly because my biscuit would not have been cold 1-2 minutes after I pulled out the parking lot. That shows me a few things the food was not stored in the proper place because if it was in the warming holding area as it should have been it would have never been cold like it was. And if the food was discarded properly after the hold time was up it would not have been cold either. That biscuit was sitting somewhere it had no business being, the cook should have never handed the manager a cold biscuit and the manager should have been aware enough even after picking up the biscuit that it wasn’t even warm.
Franchise Owner: It’s Awesome to own a business even more awesome to own a restaurant cause everyone loves food. But as a franchise owner especially at this location you should really be monitoring your employees as well as leadership more closely. This is not a bad location but this team truly needs re-training especially the cook and the manager. There are PLENTY of people who would love a job, and would come to work with a bright smile on their face. I personally know because I worked at a very busy Wendy’s that set close to a Hospital we were busy from 6:30am to close but every customer who came though my drive through received a correct order, got food, and beautiful service and I wasn’t even a manager but I had character and morals and my morals refused to allow me to underserve someone. I now work in Corporate and it baffles me how careless this location was...

There is a Black lady there that still wears her health mask, as I write this that is a real mensch. She has always been helpful, she will learn your orders, and always has a smile with her service.
However...Most of the people there are not her.
After years of going there with her service, I had the misfortune of having the person that became the head manager, and her mannish under-manager, Ace, try to make an issue out of me wanting scrambled eggs, when I had been getting them.
They went so far as Ace confronting me in the parking lot as I waited for my food to come to me.
After I gave my feedback, the district/regional guy (I also think he might be the owner of that restaurant.), Johnny Carson, tells me how sorry he is and that there was no issue for getting scrambled eggs, and that when I choose to go next, he will replace my entire ticket.
I set up a time to go, and not only did they not scramble the eggs, but Ace made me pay for them, after she said the eggs would be scrambled. I tell Johnny I paid, and he told me that he hadn't gotten in touch with them. I him they also didn't scramble the eggs, and he says they must have forgotten.
'Set up another time to get my comped meal with scrambled eggs, go there, and they tell me they don't scramble eggs anymore. Fed up, I leave.
I call Johnny and he asks me if I am there. I tell him I just pulled away. He says come back. I tell him I'm done. How many times do I have to go there to get it wrong?
If he's the district/regional person, and he said he has no problem with them scrambling eggs, then why are they still saying that to customers? It's like they either don't care about what he says, or he did NOT tell them they were wrong.
At this point, I'm not sure if he just has no pull with his employees or I was trolled by all of them, including Johnny.
On the serious tip, breakfast is the only thing that is good there, which is probably why they serve it until noon.
The burgers and chicken is confectionary. 'Think when you go to a little league park, and there's a shack that sells burgers and dogs quality.
The shakes are good, but just like even the bad lunch/dinner food, very overpriced.
UPDATE 9/9/24 As you can see, Hardee's left that response to make it right. Guess what? 'Nada. 'Zilch. 'Bupkis.
They did not make it right. They didn't even contact me.
As I said before, I think the district guy, John Carson, owns that one one, and even though the national brand should be able to implement some sort of disciplinary action, I don't think they have. They also NEVER contacted me to see he attempted to re-re-re-re-fix the problem.
Hardee's has NOT been the same since it became a digestive of Carl's Junior. The food AND standards have drastically suffered.
''You EVER REALLY want to straighten you brand out, you know how...
Read moreTaste is good sometimes, other times it's bad and lackluster. Place could use a good remodel. The last time I went there I asked to customize my sandwich and it wasn't done. Another couple of times my sandwiches have lacked taste, and this is becoming a recurring issue. Another common occurrence is the slow service at the drive-thru, I'm usually asked to pull over to the side or a parking spot even when there's no one else around. While in this situation, should you ask for condiments in the bag, more often than not you can forget about them. The staff isn't necessarily rude or anything, they're just slow. This is fast food! I understand things need to be cooked right, but I shouldn't have to wait an additional 5-10 minutes for ONE item or meal. This place used to run well and quick, today? Not so much. I've also been denied service up to 20 minutes before closing times before which has angered me and caused me to turn away from this location for some time. This is unacceptable! If you plan on closing at 9:40, do not state your closing time as 10pm. I don't mean this as bad publicity, my only hope is that my feedback helps this location improve and that way it results in a better experience for the restaurant and its employees. Last thing I want to point out is that most of these little details have occurred to me during lunch/dinner time. The breakfast staff used to be quick and efficient, however, I have not visited this place for breakfast in a while so I'm not going to...
