I have no idea what we did to anger an establishment so badly… maybe simply existing? It seems like they went out of their way to make our dining experience one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I just can’t believe it was as bad as it was… everything… from the seating, to the drinks both non and alcoholic, to the meals (mine are as unedible)… First off the server called my aunt a sir… I’ll give it to her and I laughed because she is more on the masculine side and these days who knows. But it was this Aunts birthday we were out celebrating. We were a table of 7 seated in this side room that was so sticky, uncomfortably hot and humid. Plus we got to enjoy a lovely playlist of baby shark and other children’s songs being played unnecessarily loudly for everyone in this already uncomfortable room to enjoy… heavy sarcasm. Those people were extremely rude thinking everyone needs to listen to their kids obnoxious music like the rest of the customers aren’t spending their money and trying to enjoy a dining experience… I found a used dirty napkin on the floor where we were seated and the entire floor was disgustingly dirty! I can’t believe it. Everyone ordered drinks except for me and another guest. My tea was forgotten and when I finally got it, it was in a plastic to go cup… whatever. Everyone else’s margaritas come out and we laughed so hard! The”salted rims” was on one side of each glass and running down the side of each glass. It was so nasty looking and just pathetic. We get our food and everything’s mixed up, items were completely forgotten about and at least 4 of the 7 steaks were cooked terribly and completely wrong. One was like chewing on dried leather, supposed to be med rare. The median was rare. Another median rare was filled with grizzle and just plain terrible. The shrimps on one plate were so over cooked a few were black and brown, super chewy. Mine was supposed to be medium rare but was median well, well with a tiny spot on the side that could be considered medium rare… plus mine and another was so over seasoned, mine worse and was inedible in spots. Longhorn is supposed to be a higher end of the corporate streak houses but clearly this one wasn’t to be the best, worst Longhorn of them all! Pointed out the issues and the server did offer to have it fixed but we were already turned off to the entire place. She still ended up grabbing the manager which was unnecessary when we already said it’s fine, even though clearly it wasn’t.
I’m a professional chef and culinary graduate. The steaks were not cooked right and were over seasoned to the point they would raise some people’s blood pressure to dangerous levels. The margaritas were terrible and embarrassing! I would never ever let that go to the customer, same as the plates we were given today. The entire staff working this evening should be completely embarrassed of themselves. Dining is never this bad, you literally have to try to make it this bad.
Manager should’ve taken my meal off the ticket simply because it wasn’t right but didn’t. I left a ripped apart steak behind and the potato. Asparagus was taken to the chickens. Salads, which unfortunately I didn’t have, were the only good thing.
Do better. Clean up this place. Train your staff. You’re know for steaks and drinks yet screwed them all up! I’d be so...
Read moreI came to LongHorn today with my classmate to celebrate the end of another semester--we've both worked hard and were excited to unwind at our favorite restaurant. We eat at LongHorn often, both together and separately, so we know what to expect and usually love the experience. But today, unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
We walked in with our minds set on one thing: the strawberry salad. You know that feeling when you can almost taste something you've been craving? That was us. We were seated, and I noticed our server looked a bit frustrated. He had just been sat with a large party of six or seven, so I tried to be understanding, thinking maybe he was just overwhelmed. But from the start, he seemed to rush us--even asking if we were ready to order moments after sitting down. Still, we brushed it off.
The waiter took our order and we after a few minutes (about 5-10 minutes) he came back and informed us that they were out of all fruit and couldn't make the strawberry salad. Disappointed, but understanding, we ordered something else and simply asked for all of our food to come out together.
Shortly after, we overheard another staff member (who turned out to be the manager) tell the large party next to us that they also couldn't get the strawberry salad--but one of the women in the group pushed back and said someone at their table really wanted it and in the exact words strongly said, 'make it happen.' The manager responded that he'd "see what he could do." Moments later, that same table was served a fresh strawberry salad.
That was confusing and honestly disheartening, since we were told it wasn't available at all. When we spoke to the manager about it, he was dismissive, saying, "Oh well, I got here at 12 and that's when I got the ingredients." But we had arrived well after 12, so it made no sense why we weren't offered the same courtesy.
I guess we didn't have the complexion connection to be taken care of and treated accordingly. I guess we didn't matter enough and the manager took a moment to make a difference for somebody else but he couldn't do that for us.
To top it all off: Only half of our food came out initially (despite our request to have everything served together). When I asked for more water, the cup came back with a visible hair in it--before I even touched the glass. The steak I ordered was tough and dry like jerky, and I sent it back. I refused to pay for it. The side salad that did come out had brown, wilted lettuce. The to-go boxes were mismatched and insufficient (a tiny box for a whole entrée?). And even after pointing out the hair in my water, the replacement glass was filled just halfway.
The only person who showed kindness or concern was the hostess. She apologized and asked if we would return if offered a free meal. I told her honestly: no. Not to that LongHorn.
We've supported this brand for years, but this experience made it clear--some customers are prioritized, and others aren't. It wasn't just a mistake--it was a pattern throughout our entire visit. We...
Read moreI patronized this specific location on Monday 10/27/25. I did an online order, long story short I had to come inside because the young girl named Jaylynn M who was the to go waitress told me that my card didn't go thru. So when I went on the inside I gave her my card and it worked. When my receipt printed out, she wrote her own tip on it and then threw the receipt to the side. I asked her where's my receipt and that I needed to sign it, she then told me "oh I already added my tip to it" which was $2.00. I was in shock that she had the audacity to write in her own tip , and that she wasn't even going to let me see it and sign my receipt! That's crazy! So I then told her give me my receipt so I can sign it and confirm the tip. She then gave me my receipt with a nasty attitude. I left her tip that SHE wrote on there and then I signed it. Before I left I told her that she shouldn't ever do that again with a customer receipt. That is ILLEGAL to write in your own tip on a customer receipt! I left longhorn with my food. About ten minutes later I get a phone call from longhorn, and it's the young girl Jaylynn. She called me off their company phone to tell me that she didn't like that I told her about to not write her own tip on my receipt and that she crossed out the tip and made it zero. And then hung up in my face!!!! Mind you she used the company phone to do so!!!! How unprofessional and unexceptable is that!!! And while your on the clock. You called a grown woman / paying customer to say that you didn't like what I said and you crossed out your tip. This has NEVER happened to me EVER!!!! NOT ONLY DO I FEEL LIKE MY PRIVACY HAS BEEN INVADED, BUT I ALSO FEEL VERY DISRESPECTED!!!! WHEN ALL I WAS DOING WAS PURCHASING DINNER. I don't think that she doesn't see the issue with you writing in your own tip and not wanting me to even sign or see my own receipt. It almost makes me feel like she was trying to be slick and write a larger amount or any amount on my receipt. How dare she call my phone to taunt me, when you don't know me. That's very disturbing that she went and looked up my phone number from the online order receipt. I feel very violated. And not to mention she altered my receipt twice!!! I'm sorry but an employee like that is not a good look for a local and well known steakhouse. Very...
