Let me start off by saying I never leave reviews! But today it is very necessary that I do! Upon entering the restaurant, it is very clean great customer service being greeted and waited on! But all of that goes out the Window when I got a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes, looking towards the back, no one had on gloves, except for a black male with hair! I saw a caucasian heavyset male which looked to be psoriasis flaking all over!!! no gloves preparing food completely grossed me out !!! I understand skin diseases, but please be required to wear clothing to cover it. So dead skin cells don’t fall in the food! His uniform was disgustingly filthy! Hat turned backwards and to think this guy is preparing my food 🤮 and to make it all worse, he went to the bathroom and all I can think of was did he even wash his hands the appearance seems great but behind-the-scenes is definitely concerning from what I can see. No one had on gloves, except for the only black guy that I seen back ! no discrimination, just observation! Once a regular, but I will not go here anymore after the visual that I witnessed! Hygiene is very important, especially when someone is preparing food to have open sores. Definitely gave me a new phone respect for Waffle House where I can see my food being prepared and who is actually preparing it! He should be required to properly cover up. This is a safety concern I will be looking into reporting this on a high-level than Google, but this is to warn other Customers, please take look at who is preparing your food and if you were to see the hygiene of the people, particularly the ones who’s uniforms are dirty and the ones not wearing gloves and have bad hygiene you...
Read moreI tried to give them a second chance but after last night I am sure we won't be back. We arrived just about 7pm on a Saturday night and were immediately seated by a flustered hostess who was getting some attitude from another staff member. (First clue - yeah, we ignored it.)
The hostess took our drink orders and brought them, forgetting the lemons (no biggie) as our server brought them. 15 minutes have gone by and our order is taken. My mom and I ordered the turkey wraps, mine without bacon. I got a side of tomato soup - double-checked to make sure there was no bacon, and my daughter got brioche french toast and sausage. Pretty simple.
We noticed the table near us talking to the manager about needing to get food to go so I ask the manager to check on ours and for a beverage refresh. At this point we'd been there about 40" and our server hadn't been by to refill drinks, communicate anything, or bring me the soup.
An hour after arriving, they brought out the wraps and grench toast. Asked if it all looked good. For the most part, it did. They put my daughter's brioche french toast in as plain so she had to ask for butter and powder. They forgot her sausage and my soup.
They come out with the soup and it's not the right soup. Server misheard me but they don't have the soup I wanted so I said nevermind (I mean an hour later for what should come out within a couple minutes of ordering?) Did the server ask if I wanted something else or make a suggestion or anything? No. By this time I'd forgotten that I am paying for a side. My mom reminded me, so I asked for the potato soup to go. I got it and to top it all off - when I opened it at home they'd actually topped...
Read moreWait staff for our table was attentive but he wore his mask under his nose not completely covering his face. The wait staff as a whole was extremely loud which disrupted our meal. We understand restaurant noise but this wad way beyond that...We may as well have been at Waffle House. One of them was yelling out stuff to all the other staff all across the room, to the kitchen, and because of that we pretty much were aware of everyone's wrong order, that the next table was not going to like the bacon light, that she was training someone, that she needed whip cream from the back, that she needed her dish ready when she was ready to clock out, that she needed so and so to come take out the trash, how to put Harvest Nut Grain pancakes in the register....I mean she was loud and yelling pretty much everything. She was so loud and it was truly disruptive and not what I have come to expect at IHOP. Now don't get me wrong she appeared to be working hard but all of the staff was just unnecessarily loud and quite frankly the restaurant as a whole just did not look tidy. It was 10 pm.or so...hardly any customers and at least 7 to 10 workers so things should have looked really tidy. Management was in the back apparently cause we asked but at least one Manager should be out front cause it so much noise and conversation between the wait staff we literally were ready to go. They were that loud. Louder than waffle house and that is their method of operation you expect to hear everything there but not IHOP. And many of them had their masks only on their mouths and not covering their noses even when handling guests food. That kind of defeats...
