I wasn’t even able to get food here due to the customer service. My wife called this establishment twice to make a takeout order, and had awful experiences both times. The first time, she made a takeout order. When she arrived at the restaurant, she was told that they ran out of what she ordered. We understand that happens, but the person at the counter was rather rude about the situation, and at what point we’re we going to be informed that the food we wanted was out? We would have expected a call back informing us that what we wanted was out so that we could order something else before driving out there. We were a bit turned off by the experience and walked out.
The second time, we called in and were told that the restaurant did not accept takeout orders, which was untrue because I had a co-worker have their takeout order accepted just the day before.
We’ve heard great things about the food, and we’re really trying to support small businesses and our people, but the way this restaurant operates makes this difficult. I wish your business well and hope that you improve the customer experience, but for now, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
EDIT: I was listening to the phone calls both times. You did not provide the option to pay over the phone. But whatever, we don’t need to go into “he said, she said”
You seem upset that we had a bad experience with your customer service and that we reciprocated by providing a honest review. No I did not eat your food. I’m not going to try the food of people that are nasty in their interactions with their customers. You might have spit in it for all I know. Your customer service and they way you interact with your patrons isn’t that great, and I would hope that you and your employees reflect on how you can improve...
Read moreLast Friday, 5/19/23 I went here, because my daughter showed me a pic of oxtail and coco bread and it looked delicious. Well, upon arrival, there was no parking space, so l had to wait for someone to leave, bcuz the "small" parking lot was full. When I entered, i felt like i had just walked into chaos. The music was too loud and the customers were all complaining. I wasn't greeted by any staff, and I had no idea where the front of the line was, but after asking customers where the line is, I still had to wait, because the customer ahead of me couldnt make up her mind what she wanted to eat. it took her abou 22-27 minutes to decide. Mind u there were 18 ppl in line behind me, and We were all complaining. Anyway, I ordered the curry chicken, which was very tasty i give it a 10! However, the rice was very sloppy wet and mushy. I have no idea why they call it peas & rice, because there was hardly any peas in my rice. They forgot my beef pattee and fork. Too much confusion, chaos and disorganization. I only stayed Bcuz i was very hungry. To the owner: Tell your staff in the back, that we can hear them arguing with each other
Put a sign that says "Line starts here"
Have someone greet and direct customers
Tell the lady to put a fork in the bag, she kept forgetting to do it, bcuz several cusomers came back in for a fork. Make sure she check the receipt so u get everything u ordered.
Music too loud, u can hardly hear your number being called. please turn down or turn off the music.
Lastly, please cook enough food. They were out of soup of the day! I will be...
Read moreI was a true fan of this place but it’s clear that they are turning into every other Jamaican spot in the Atlanta area. The attitudes of the women in this establishment, as a whole, are often. They are clearly disgusted with customers, they don’t want to be asked anything, their body language shows that they’re bored, the comments are snarky, it’s just become awful.
The interaction with the owner and any other man in the establishment are always kind and helpful. I went in today and was treated so poorly, per usual. There are two tighter skinned women (both short, one chubbier than the other) and their attitudes are TERRIBLE. there was one young lady today, that was doing food prep that came out to help and she was kind and so is another darker skinned lady that’s thinner and short.
They have always increased the price of their large oxtail by $1 and made the portions smaller, but the attitudes? They need to stop or I will stop coming. I recommend friends to this place all the time telling them how much better it is than everywhere else because of the service. We spend atleast $100 Everytime we come in here. There is no reason I’m treated like this is a free food bank.
This issue overshadows how good the food is. It really does. The owner needs to show more presence and get his frontline staff in line. They’re creating a bad look and name for his...
