I order from this place on UberEats, and for months I ordered from there probably twice a week. One day I decided to check out their desserts, so I ordered an Italian Cream Pie. The pie showed up, it was nothing special, but it was Italian Cream Pie (ICP), and I enjoyed it enough to order it again in the future. So that's what I did. Only the next time I ordered ICP, I was sent...something else. I'm not sure what, exactly. Maybe Carrot Cake. So I assumed UberEats hadn't been updated that they were sold out of ICP, attempted to eat the mysterious substitute, and moved on with my life. Then I ordered ICP again. And again, rather than what I had ordered, I received a mystery dessert instead. Next time, since a trend seemed to have begun, I wrote in the "notes" section of UberEats "Please, if you are out of Italian Cream Pie, don't just substitute with a random dessert. Please call me and ask what I'd like to substitute." Again, no ICP, yes random mystery dessert. Finally I call the restaurant and ask for a manager. The woman that answered the phone asked for my name and then put the phone down near enough to her that I could hear everything she was saying. She at no point even gestured toward getting a manager. For 5 minutes I listened to her take orders and have conversations with other workers, and eventually decided to hang up and call back. The same woman answered, only this time she told me to call back in 15 minutes because all the managers were busy. I hung up and called back, hoping that eventually someone else would answer. He did. A man purporting to be "a" manager. I asked him his name. He refused to give it to me. He told me to tell him my problem. I explained the problem, and he said that surprised him because they had Italian Cream Pie in stock. He then informed me that he was busy that night with a large party and that he would check the cameras and find out why I was given a dessert that wasn't ICP. He instructed me to email him a pic of the mystery dessert I had received that night, along with the UberEats order number. I hung up, emailed him the requested info, and called him back to let him know the email had been sent. He told me he would call me back the next day to discuss the issue. That was three days ago, and I have not received a call. I would recommend not supporting a business which doesn't regard the satisfaction of its customers as a priority and will personally never patronize the...
Read moreIn a response to the person that replies to the reviews. Everyone business may have a bad day or review. Some people have a good experience and some may not. That doesn't necessarily make the whole establishment a bad one. However, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!!! You can be out of something but still make the customer feel valued for choosing your establishment to eat. To say to a customer I don't know where the bartender went sends a message that you may have inexperience staff. On this day the bartender just left or disappeared during work hours. Furthermore it's unfortunate that as the owner you are responding to the reviews with such bad energy as if we are lying about OUR experience. Instead of responding with an appropriate response that would make me want to visit again. Then I would have no problem going back doing another better review because ish happens. Your responses are rude and like you don't care what people think. This is why so many black businesses don't do as well as they could or scale more because they either get defensive instead of it being a chance to implement new procedures when hiring. You can't go by every review but come on now....the responses are unprofessional. I wish your establishment the best and would love to see more black business implement a credo or mission like the Ritz Carlton. The Credo The Ritz-Carlton is a place where the genuine care and comfort of our guests is our highest mission.
We pledge to provide the finest personal service and facilities for our guests who will always enjoy a warm, relaxed, yet refined ambience.
The Ritz-Carlton experience enlivens the senses, instills well-being, and fulfills even the unexpressed wishes and needs...
Read moreI was just robbed! My son wanted to get a late night meal but neither one of us wanted the usual fast food spot so we found a Jamaican restaurant online that was closeby and said open til 4 am. I called first to confirm they were open. A lady answered and asked where I stayed. I told her I live in the neighborhood and she told me to come on in. But then I looked at their online menu and it said jerk chicken dinner was $25. I was shocked. Average price in our area for small jerk meal ranges from $3.99 for lunch special at Food King to $7-10 per meal at spots like Juci Jerk, All Islands Cafe, etc. Typically comes with 1 leg quarter and a thigh cut up into 2 small pcs chicken, cabbage and rice/beans. So I called back. She chuckled and said small was $11.40 large was $20 something. I asked how many does a small feed. She said 2-3ppl. I confirmed I was coming and was there 10 minutes later. Once I arrived she informed me she had no cabbage but I could have extra rice/beans or lettuce and tomatoes. My son chose rice/beans. While she prepared our meal a man rung up our order. There was three different cakes all about 1/5 of a round cake size in a display. I asked if homemade. He said factory. They looked good so I asked how much he said $4.99. I said for the whole portion which equaled about 2 avg slices. He said no per slice. So I declined. Within a few minutes, the lady returned and gave us out meal. She piled up our box with rice/beans and gave us 1 leg quarter. Worse jerk dinner deal on Memorial. Taste good but not better than Juci Jerk or Food King....
