Well I been there 3 separate times . The first time, I waited for my food for 25 mins. There were a few customers there and a lot of talking to clients and less attention to the people ordering, but my food was warm and delicious. The second time I came I waited 45 mins inside for my food and the waitress was so into the man she was talking to she basically forgot or didn't care that I was sitting there waiting for my food. She initially said it would take 15 mins to note that there were only two customers in there. Myself and the man she was so into. When I received my food, it felt like it came straight out of the refrigerator. Cold as ice. From 15 mins to 45 mins and I had to ask how much longer should I have to wait? She says then ,"Oh, let me check," sorry," thank you, and come again. At this point, I am super angry and didn't feel like arguing because I worked a 16-hour shift. This last time I came and this was last week. I ordered the veggie platter again. This was the only thing that I ever ordered every time I went. And I usually get 7 to 8 different veggies on this platter. I ordered extra collard greens, green beans, and bread separately. I was only given 5 veggies this time instead of 7 or 8, and they charge me for the three things that suppose to already be on my plate and I didn't get the extra 3 items that I paid extra to get. So they tied the bag and gave it to me. I went to my car and checked it. I was highly upset 😡 but I came there in a respectful manner and asked how many veggies you get on the platter? The waitress said 7 to 8. I said ok, so why do I only have 5, and why was I charged for items that were supposed to already be on the platter, and where are the items that I paid for separately? So the nice waitress went to get her manager now. All of a sudden, the manager says they give only 6 to 7. They ran out of some items, but I the customer should not be short on their order without given a discount or substitute to fill their order. In the end they gave me a salad and lentils. But the quality of the food wasn't the same. It was cold and tasteless except for the greens. They were good. My first experience was ok but the food was good. Since then, it has been a...
Read moreI’m not from Georgia and I drive over 40 minutes from my hotel just to come here because I heard it was food from a friend. When I arrived there was a table that had other people’s leftovers and the table was not clean, but while people are looking for seating the servers(the ladies not the man) were walking around ignoring us. When I finally decided to sit down at the dirty table, I sat for more than 20 minutes and all the female servers ignored us and would do literally anything not to go to our table to even pick up the leftover food or take our order. Finally after male server came to us after serving his portion of the table and took the trash away from our table, a customer came over to talk to us and helped us get someone to take our order. When we asked him what he was doing he said that he saw many people leaving the restaurant and that he knew the restaurant was Falling apart and he wanted to help his fellow Ethiopians. After the man left we called a waitress that was avoiding us and she said she was too busy to take our order and with a roll of her eye she left, but I guess she wasn’t busy five seconds later because she was standing around talking to leaving customers. WILL NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF COMING HERE AND WASTING MY TIME AGAIN!😡I would have given them a zero rating. The owner/s of Meskel restaurant need to hire more servers and hire them to be respectful and to do their jobs right. As for the male waiter he needs a raise. Edit: I have been waiting for the last 30 minutes for the drinks I ordered and it still hasn’t come. How hard is it to bring 5...
Read moreCame here because I was wanting Ethiopian food and heard it was the most authentic in town. Upon arriving, waited 20+ minutes for service. Service was awful when it did arrive. Server rolled her eyes at me initially. When ordering was told my first 2 choices were not available and went with one of the two options she said they had. We ordered two and only received one plate. When food came out, it was served with French Bread!! I asked about injera and was told they were out. The meat lacked flavor in flavor and (again) was served with FRENCH BREAD! I went to eat here because I was craving Ethiopian food and I am STILL craving Ethiopian food because I could have bought French bread at Kroger and sauntered meat and onions at home. Bad service. Bad good. ...
