Sebli Ethiopian Restaurant — Restaurant in Clarkston

The restaurant was quaint with Ethiopian cultural estestics. Very laid back and chill. Normally, I would say if you can't say something nice do not say it at all. But I don't want anyone to waste the type of money I did on this food. To be fair I probably should've stuck to getting Doro wet chicken but I just wanted to try something different. I got the lamb tib with the Injera. The lamb was not tender, which to me is kinda awkward since lamb cooked well is naturally tender. More than that it was not seasoned. It was very bland. It came with the seasoning on the side literally. For 16.99 + 3 dollar tip. The portion was small. It just felt like I got gyro filling. I never really complain, but I did go back and ask was there some type of sauce I could buy or anything that they can do very nicely. She gave me more beiber seasoning with oil. The server response was short and irritated. I think a good solution would be to make the menu with pics. I gave it 2 stars because the gentlemen sitting at the bar while I waited was very hospitable he actually made the suggestions and recommendations for my next meal. However I will not be going back. Lacks menu which was an issue as I like to see what is offered as well as pricing. When inquired about lack of menus we were told the establishment had just opened even though I had driven past it and had noticed it open for about 5 or 6 months. The food was very flavorful but was not hot only warm. They also don't offer adequate sides with the entrées. The soda options($2) came in cans which weren't cold. Entrées were delivered to table about 15 minutes apart which takes away from the together dining experience. I love Ethiopian cuisine but this place lacks when compared to other Ethiopian restaurants where I have dined. Probably won't be revisiting as I would rather take a longer drive knowing I will enjoy the dining experience on a greater compacity. I wish this establishment the best... One more thing...the...

If I could no stars I would…Customer service(the waiter) mhmm it was okay kind of!!! Food it was great! But the vibes was soooo uncomfortable, and overcharged. Literally from the time me and my boyfriend entered the “establishment” to time we were eating and to the time we left, I mean everybody(other customers) was looking at us like we didn’t belong at all. Stared us down the whole time we was there, that was so uncomfortable for me; I’m talking mainly about their facial expressions and having anxiety like I do omg , it really bothered me to the point I couldn’t even sleep that night.
