LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Georgia

12/29/24 Came here after my Grandson & his Fiance got married & the waiter was top notch & tended to us exceptionally. The food was perfect & on point. Back to what I have come to wxpect from Longhorn!!

4/8/23 I came in this time expecting the same food like last time & boy was I dissappointed. We ordered 2 Longhorn steaks, medium well, what we got was, one that was almost med well & one that was very rare, the potatoes tasted & looked liked wallpaper paste, I tried putting butter, salt & pepper but nothing unstiffened them or made them taste any better. I ordered a side of grilled onions & got onions that were mushy, old & very greasy, about 2 tsp's full, enough for a couple of bites with the steak. The waitress asked how everything was & I told her, she said she could put the steak back on the grill, but It was very busy & I didn't want to wait any longer, so I told her it was not necessary. The waitress was fantastic, made the best Arnold Palmer I had tasted in a long time.

Now, I just happened to go to the Longhorn on Mansell last week & ordered the same exact meal & what I got was spot on for the steak, over 1/2 cup of fresh grilled onions that actually covered the whole steak & potatoes that actually tasted like real mashed potatoes, I didn't have to do anything to them!!

Last Year I was not in a good mood wen I got here, but my server (which I wish I could remember his name) was so nice & really made me comfortable & wen I left, I was in such a better mood. He was attentive, but no where near overwhelming or ignoring me. I really appreciated his empathy. Thank you & the food was absolutely fantastic & he even remembered how I originally asked for wen I came in & ordered a coke with cherries & the cherry juice, not grenadine & a lime & b4 I left he made it in a 2go cup!! Ok sooo….

Went to this location Saturday night around 9:30p. Very light crowd which was a plus with what would’ve been no wait time. My boyfriend and I ordered our drinks(alcohol) and I should’ve knew then. I ordered a strawberry margarita and he brought out mango. I didn’t make a fuss and it really didn’t matter so I kept it, the drink was really good. I liked the fact that the bartender/waiter left the canteen mixer on our table. We ordered our food right away because we were starving. At this point we’re drinking our drinks and weren’t given any water like everywhere else I’ve ever eaten at. We asked for water 4 times and that was before we got our food, the food took forever to come out(after 10), we ate the bread and asked for more because like I said, we were starving and at this point our food hasn’t been served. I don’t eat pork and my baked potato came out with bacon, asked for water again when the food came out. Never received the water. Yes we sat there and ate an entire meal with no beverage. He finally brought the bread out AFTER my boyfriend had paid the ticket. I’m big on tipping according to the service and customer service has been horrible everywhere since Covid unfortunately. Even if so I know people are making a living and have bills to pay. He completely ignored us and our request. My bf left a tip of course but I’m not so sure the experience was deserving of it. Worst longhorn I have ever been to in my life. Before we began ordering we told the waiter to make sure that our food did not touch any pork products. She said she will take care of that. We gave our order around 7 pm for parmesan crusted chicken with French fries, salmon with salad, and 9 piece hand-breaded chicken tenders. We waited for over an hour for our order to come. Some people who came after us that finished their meals. After waiting for more than an hour, they brought a parmesan chicken that looked nothing like what we had before in other longhorns with broccoli, a burned salmon, and 6 chicken tenders without breading. It also looked nothing like what we had before. When we tried to explain what we actually wanted, the waiter said because we wanted a different place for it to cook they couldn't do it with the breaded chicken tenders, so they switched our order to something else without asking us. Other longhorns always took care of our food restrictions, cleaning the grill and oil and telling us what they can't do. But in this one they acted like our food restrictions was the problem in our order getting messed up. I do not recommend this longhorn at all because of their lack of care, their slowness, and food quality. We left after they brought us something we didn't want and made us wait for more than 1 hour for it. This restaurant was a very unpleasant experience for me...
