We dined at Ocean and Acre for the first time last night for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted by Diamond and it became her mission to make us feel celebrated, making sure we toasted to our 25 years! We shared the calamari starter as well as lobster bisque and clam chowder. The soups were both so wonderful and though it would be so hard to choose, I’d say the clam chowder was a WOW! (But I’ve also never had lobster bisque so delicious!) My husband requested steak frites, Oscar style. The chef and servers wisely put the elements in ramekins so we could customize each bite. The chimichurri was vibrant and such a great companion for the steak, as was the béarnaise sauce (rich, creamy, buttery) with the crab. The Oscar style crab addition to the steak frites was certainly enjoyable for a go-all-out celebration meal, but we likely wouldn’t order that as an addition again. I had a hard time deciding on my entrée and eventually landed on ordering the Lobster Roll with mixed greens salad and I’m so glad I did. How is it that lobster on buttered bread has THIS much flavor explosion?! The toasted brioche bun with the buttery lobster was simply fantastic. I’ve enjoyed lobster rolls fresh off the boat in Boston and this was equally delicious. Our drinks (O & A Seasonal Mule and Deep Sea Rita) were great, probably preferring the Mule over the Rita. I wanted to try the Seaside Grove but they were unfortunately missing some ingredients for that drink last night. Finally, our evening ended with a generous surprise of a dessert trio with a smooth brûlée, decadent and rich chocolate cake, and key lime pie. Don’t miss this pie!! We were already so incredibly satisfied from our meal, but these sweet treats and the sentiment of a hand written card from the staff sent us into full blown food and celebration utopia. I regret that I don’t remember both servers names (Kimani and _?), but they were a great team, and again Diamond takes manager and guest experience to a whole new level. Can’t wait to come back again! When you get food and service THIS excellent—you absolutely take time to review and say THANK YOU! So, thanks everyone at Ocean and Acre! You gave us a sweet night to talk about for...

This was our third time dining at Ocean and Acre, and I can confidently say that this restaurant continues to set the standard for excellence in both service and cuisine. Having visited several restaurants in the area, Ocean and Acre stands out in every way—its impeccable food, exceptional service, and inviting atmosphere create an experience that is simply unmatched.
From our very first visit, the attention to detail in both presentation and flavor was undeniable. The redfish I had initially was spectacular—I didn’t think anything could top it. But tonight, I tried the blackened trout with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and it was absolute perfection—chef’s kiss. My husband, who typically orders salmon, decided on the hamburger during our first visit, and it left such an impression that he talked about it throughout our entire spring break in Seaside. When we returned home on Sunday, his first stop was Ocean and Acre—to get that burger.
It’s safe to say that when a restaurant serves a burger so good it overshadows Five Guys, you know they’re doing something right.
Tuna poke lovers, take note! The tuna poke is my absolute favorite dish—I could easily eat it every day. It was the first thing brought to the table, and honestly, I regret not taking pictures of the rest of our food because it was so good that I didn’t have time to think about it.
Beyond the food, the service and management are consistently top-tier. Diamond, the manager, is exceptional—she goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a flawless dining experience. Her leadership is reflected in the entire staff’s commitment to excellence, making each visit feel like a truly special occasion.
If you’re in the area, Ocean and Acre is a must-visit. And when you go, do yourself a favor—try the poke, the trout, or that unforgettable burger. And be sure to tell Diamond that Kesha sent you!

Read moreI wanted to take my husband out for a nice Thanksgiving Dinner for the 2 of us. He was very upset we weren’t able to swing being with family, and he loves a coursed meal, so I thought this would be a great treat! I was SOOOO wrong. It was AWFUL.
I have never felt more rushed through a dining experience in my entire life. The crab cake was bland and 90% filler. Our second course was brought before our first was even cleared; my husband had just taken his last bite. My husband got a beat salad for his second course, and said it fell extremely flat. No flavor at all. Our main course was also subpar. My husband received 3 small, bland pieces of turkey with gravy. I received sea bass that was fine, nothing exceptional. The menu stated sides were made to share for 3-4 people, so we ordered sides we both liked. We were extremely surprised to receive sides pre-portioned on each of our plates. We brought this to the waitresses attention and she was also confused. A manager was sent over who stated that because there were 2 of us they pre-portioned the sides. This didn’t seem to be the case, since we saw an order for a table of 6 come out also with the sides portioned. We overheard the table of 5 next to us strategically ordering sides with expectations of sharing them - they did not receive them in a shareable manner either.
Our 4 course, $170 total (for 2 people) meal, was finished in 50 minutes. It was by far the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on food in my entire life. As my husband said - it was a buffet you didn’t have to get up for. All I wanted was an enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner to make up for my husband and I being alone on this holiday and it did not come close. We gladly would’ve paid $50 more, if we knew the Cattleshed was open on Thanksgiving, to know we would have a high...
