Never Enough Thyme Halcyon — Restaurant in Georgia

Great food, but very questionable service and rather a bizzarre experience for the area. We stopped for a quick bite and a drink, but it did not go smooth. First, the bartender literally ignored us for a while. And no, the place was virtually empty apart from two other customers at the bar and a few more outside. There was also a couple on another side of the restaurant, and another lady was helping them. At some point, a third lady finally noticed us and asked if we were helped. Then she told us that she will take our order "in a minute". However, she proceeded to pour herself a beer instead and started drinking it behind the bar while chatting with the bartender. Finally, the lady who was helping the other couple came to the rescue. She was wonderful and very apologetic that no one took our order or offered water. We finally placed the order and moved from the bar to a table. By that time, employee#3 was halfway done with her beer and proceeded leaving the restaurant. As she was moving through the door she also loudly added a great TMI that you shouldn't say in front of the customers. The food was great and came out fast, but the attitudes really reminded me an old school dive bar. The lady who picked up others' slack was fantastic, if you are reading this - you rock! :) However, definitely not...

We tried to order online but because online ordering isn’t available at this location, we called our order in. My boyfriend ordered for us and specifically said no meat or protein on the egg and cheese, just the egg and cheese because I am a vegetarian and the girl on the phone verified no meat on it. We also ordered a caramel latte with oat milk after asking if oat milk was available for the coffee, and the girl on the phone verified they had it. We got there in 20 minutes and they said they didn’t have oat milk and asked me if I wanted to substitute it with almond or whole so I chose whole milk and when she made the latte it was so scorching hot I couldn’t drink it for 20 minutes! IT ALSO JUST TASTES LIKE HOT MILK! There is no coffee flavor whatsoever! They also put bacon on my sandwich and had to remake it when I got there, which is a lazy mistake! Good thing we checked before we left.

Our order was a sandwich, a wrap, and the potatoes for each of us it shouldn’t be that hard to make a small order correctly.

The highlight of our meal was a nice-sized bowl with rice, chicken, asparagus, and a sauce (on the side) that was completely delicious. I would absolutely order it again. The fish & chips get a mixed review - the fried potatoes were very good and the batter on the fish was crispy but the fish had absolutely no taste to it. I don't recommend this disappointing dish. We also ordered a bowl of matzo ball soup, not expecting much but wanting to taste it. Really strange - the matzo ball was authentic but the spices in the soup tasted like nothing I've had before in any chicken soup and I only ate a few spoonfuls. We were happy that small tables were available outside for safer eating during the pandemic and it was enhanced by the beautiful sunny day. I put a full tip on my charge card when I ordered/paid for the food but there really was no service to speak of. Someone did bring out our food but apparently there is no table service after that. In fact, once we were done and did some shopping, we noticed that the table still had not been cleared of our food as we passed by on...
