Wedding Review Here! I thought my husband was crazy when he asked to include a brewing company for catering, but I am SO grateful we tried them out! We ultimately hired Cherry Street as our alcohol vendor for our wedding (though if it was solely up to me, I would have chosen them to cater as well) and could not have been more pleased with the final result!
First, the tastings were phenomenal! Seriously, bring a designated driver, because they were generous with the serving sizes! We chose to do His and Hers Drinks, Two Wines and Two Beers! They asked for our drinks preferences before hand to prepare and when we arrived we basically had a personal bartender come to our table to give us all the drinks. My husband knew he wanted a Sazerac as his wedding drink, but I gave them the vaguest description of something fruity. Not only did they provide an AMAZING Sazerac, they also took the time to make some other similar drinks my husband may have liked that were equally fantastic! I also had a good selection for my drink and choose a Passion Fruit Punch that stole the show! The wines were good and the beer selection was broad! If you want it, they probably have it! And if not, they may just be brewing it next season!
We got little white ducks as extras for the drinks (Shout out to our venue, Swan Lake Overlook) that our friends were collecting and lining up to go to war! Cherry Street was also great about catering the ratios. We wanted more Punch then Sazerac, assuming that our guests would prefer something sweeter, and more wine then beer. Cherry Street worked all that out!
The only complaint we could have was communication and it was not even an issue for the wedding, but rather my Mother In Law trying to hire them to cater our rehearsal dinner about two months out from the date. While we couldn't get in touch with them in time to set up their services for the rehearsal dinner, I can't even be angry, since wedding seasons can be busy and other vendors were much worse at communicating! I am a little upset we didn't get to eat their food though, because if taste is what you prioritize, they were by far the tastiest food we tried! And the best priced! I believe these guys are still breaking into the scene for weddings and weren't well known, so make sure you don't miss the...
Read moreSo my mom and I were looking for a nice restaurant to eat at. We order fish and chips from the phone. We got the food after about 25 minutes. The fish and the chips (fries) were overly salted and the fish texture was kinda soft and mushy. My mom could tell that the fish wasn’t cod which is what most fish and chips is supposed to be made out of and something else. We ate most of the fish and chips but didn’t eat the coleslaw because we were full. We went inside the restaurant to tell them about the issue and also asked where their health inspection was. The health inspection was hidden and not visible and after we saw it we knew why. It was a freakin 86. My mom asked what fish the meal was made out of and someone told her that it was grouper and my mother asked the employe to ask again because she knew it wasn’t grouper. A man came out and told us the fish they serve is actually swai. Swai is a low class, cheap, Vietnamese catfish. It’s actually illegal to sell it in a few states because there has been many health problems with the fish. My mother and I don’t eat bottom feeders like catfish and we don’t eat any fish without scales. We took the fish and chips back the next day. They refunded us and a lady apologized for the issue and told us that they don’t sell swai but that they sell a fish called basa. For those that don’t know, basa is literally the same thing as swai!!!😑. If you search up basa it will literally bring up swai! Swai is involved in a lot of fraud and some people and restaurants will tell you that it’s a high class fish (some type of expensive grouper, bass, catfish and other expensive fish) but they’re actually selling you trash 🗑. Don’t bother with this place and if you do eat here don’t...
Read moreThe service was awful. They treat you like they're doing you a favor to seat you or take an order. We showed up at 9pm on Saturday night when it was not crowded. There were at least nine empty tables, yet they made us wait to be seated. The server took forever to take our order, then the people who brought the food didn't ask if we needed anything. Tried to get the server's attention before getting up and finding the ketchup at the server station myself. We asked for a second round of drinks shortly after we got our food at 9:55 and the server said 'last call' had already passed (without him telling us or offering a last call drink). The food was good, and so was the beer. But the service was atrocious, especially given they weren't busy. He brought us the check while we were in the middle of our entrees and said "no rush" which clearly meant the opposite. They were loudly cleaning (while one server was drinking a beer at a table -- apparently last call doesn't apply to staff) and it was clear they wanted us out, but even still he took forever to collect the check after we put down our card. Don't say you're open until 10 and then treat 9pm arrivals as intruders, especially when we ended up staying so late because of the slow service. I still tipped 15% instead of our customary 20-25% but the server probably just thought we were cheap. Management needs to fix this. Don't bring the check while people are in the middle of their meals. We eat out five nights a week so they lost a potential set of...
