I'm from Washington state and I have been eating at various Vietnamese Pho restaurants for about twelve years consistantly and I have to say that cleanliness of the tables between customers could be better, also my cup had dried food on it (probably from someone else's lips), the floor looked dirty, even their mini van they had parked right in front of the restaurant that I had to squeeze by in my car was dirty, no obvious reason why using a parking space was such a bad idea to them. The restaurant is attached to their store also which seems a bit out of the ordinary. I ate twice at this place back in 2007 and it was much cleaner and arranged and the service was a lot better, my how times change, now it looks like a curio shop with tables in it. While I'm eating, I see unfinished shelving on the floor against the wall, I order a bowl of Pho and two spring rolls, the spring rolls arrive much later than my noodle soup. The spring rolls are supposed to be the appetizer. Let me rewind to the beginning here, I first arrive and I don't know whether to sit or go to the register because no one is saying anything, so I wait at the register. The person serving everyone is in her own world, I ask if I am supposed to sit somewhere, she tells me to find a table and she also didn't seem to be knowledgable on the menu. So my Pho comes out and it looks good, it came with mostly everything including the Mung bean sprouts, but what threw me off was the Cilantro instead of Thai Basil. I never had Pho with Cilantro, I've eaten Pho all over Washington state, California, even Germany and Amsterdam, and all had Thai Basil. Maybe it's a supply issue here in Southern Georgia. It's okay for a first timer I guess, my biggest issue was the cleanliness which can easily be fixed, I remembered this place being better eleven years ago,...
Read moreI went with my mom and little sister, but only my mom and I ordered. The restaurant isn’t clean and when we walked in we didn’t know if we had to wait or seat ourselves. The server just stared at us. Then he came and took our orders. We ordered veggie pho, japchae, and a boba. The food was ok. When we were going to pay the lady told us we were going to pay $44 for everything. My mom asked what exactly she was charging us for. I guess the lady didn’t like this and began getting agitated. She told us that there was a mandatory 15% tip included. We asked why and she said that when there’s less than 5 people they charge 15% tip. I have NEVER heard of that. My mom was not convinced and the lady said I’ll show you and proceeded to take the card out of my moms hand and put it into the card machine. Then the lady gave my mom the merchant copy of the receipt and my mom looked at it and she’d given up trying reason so she went to put it in her bag. The lady flipped out and yelled saying we were trying to take the receipt. That it was her copy and snatched it out of my moms hand and gave her the other one. (Never signed it either so 🤷♀️) We were appalled. Probably one if not the worst experiences at a restaurant we’ve ever had. Very rude. Safe to say we are never going back.
Edit: We went to the market they have while we waited to pay, because there was nobody there. The carpet was sticky and as we were looking around we found the server in a back...
Read morePretty good food, though the selection isn't massive. Seafood pho is delicious, and has shrimp, squid, imitation crab, and fish cakes. I do wish they provided Thai basil like other restaurants I've been to. Here they only put onion and scallion in the broth and cilantro, lime wedge, and bean sprouts on the side. Their fried and fresh spring rolls are delicious, but they are expensive for the sizes, and the peanut sauce for the fresh rolls doesn't taste authentic or homemade, but more like it came from a jar. The rolls also seem a little overpriced for their size as they're quite small. The restaurant isn't dirty, but it is pretty dingy and outdated. The store portion is filthy and very overpriced. Product just lying everywhere with no prices. Dried blood and foul odor coming from the meat freezer, and one freezer doesn't properly close and has half-frozen product inside.
The place needs an overhaul appearance-wise, but the service and food is great and the owners are very sweet...
