I would give zero stars if it was allowed. I preordered Madden 20 for my child which I was told would be released on July 30th (tomorrow) with the edition I ordered. The store called me today and said i could pick it up today after 9. I called the store to confirm that since they normally close at 9. I spoke to a boy named Austin and he said they close at 9 but I could pick up the game between 9 and 9:30 since I preordered it because they were having a release party of some sort so I drive all the way across town to the store just to be told through the door because the door was locked that I couldn't get Madden that I had to pick it up tomorrow that they were only open from 9 to 9:15 even though I was clearly told 9:30. So not only was I lied to over the phone but I was also talked to like trash. I understand that misunderstandings can happen but poor customer service there is no excuse for. I will never preorder another game...
Read moreWaited in line for at least 20 minutes to preorder something/buy pokemon cards which you can only get if you ask someone to get it behind the counter, while one man helped a customer his co-worker did absolutely nothing but chit-chat about BTS despite there being two registers. She didn’t acknowledge us. The guy was helpful whenever we entered the store, and he was preoccupied once we got in line so perfectly understandable that he wasn’t able to help us, the girl on the other hand— no reason not to help. Sadly walked out without buying anything. I will say though, the man if he was a store lead/manager he didn’t tell his co-worker to work and let her go on chitchatting while a line formed. Also someone presumably came up with a resume in hand and walked behind the counter and rudely interrupted the guy helping a customer. Feel bad for the guy, no co-worker was working...
Read moreGuy at the counter was very uninterested and unfriendly, with an elitist attitude. The whole time that he was ringing me up he complained about the store carrying/him having to sell plushes, shirts, figures, etc. (essentially anything that wasn't a console, game, or accessory), because the store is called Gamestop and should reflect that. He made insulting remarks about people buying said "non-gaming" items, and said he'd quit if the store started carrying drones. I guess videogaming is the only form of gaming, and videogame merch has nothing to do with videogaming in his eyes. Not a very good...
