Being a person from the North East I am very familiar with Phillips. They had competition back in the day in DC from a place called Hogates. Both sat on the waterfront in DC. So now lets talk about this Atlanta Airport location: On a July 4th holiday weekend the place was not crowded. I am sure the prices is what make people turn away but if you want good seafood than you expect to pay a price. I was seated promptly but my server was very 'bare bones' "Hey how are you...What can I get you?" ... I asked about clams and she replied " Sir we only have what's on the menu" Fair enough....But wait....here is the kicker : A white party comes in maybe 7-10 persons and get seated. (I hate to bring race into this but I feel it is apropos right now) ** I was an alone B/M dining. This same server greets the party and she is vibrant and asked about their travels in ATL and she suggested menu items to them and issued them straws for drinks..etc. I was served my dish by another worker..I wasn't given any silverware, no ketchup, no vinegar oil, no extra napkins. So I noticed in this party a young boy asked for steamed shrimp to eat. The server went to the back and came back and said that YES they could order steamed shrimp which is NOT on the menu mind you. I love STEAMED SHRIMP. I actually ordered a side of Fried shrimp to accompany my main dish as I love shrimp To wrap up this review and not spill over to a rant I consumed my meal and packed the rest to go. I pondered should I chastise this waitress or let it go. I pondered should I not tip as a sign of my differential treatment that was blatant. I decided to let it go. I still gave her an appropriate tip despite how I felt. I respect service industry workers. Here is the thing: I her mind the biggest tips come from a certain segment of people.. and this is where she focused her energy into making them feel welcome. And this is also where so many servers like her FAIL!! I am a self made millionaire although I dress simple like an average "brother" you see everyday. I am always looking to bless people financially because I didn't have it easy NO WAY NO HOW!!!!!! I have given street people $5, $12, $20 simply because they asked me because I believe in generousity (sic). TREAT EVERY CUSTOMER THE SAME...DONT LET YOUR PAST MUFFLE YOUR VISION MOVING FORWARD. IF YOU ARE A BY THE BOOK SERVER THAN TREAT ALL CUSTOMERS THE SAME. IF YOU ARE A JOVIAL SERVER THAN BE JOVIAL TO EVERYONE. I guess I did rant.....sorry..................... So the crab cakes were OK...I could tell they were previously frozen....and the fried shrimp was nothing to write anyone about. RED LOBSTER wins this one!! Waffle fries was the best..and I dont...

Horrible service. Our flight was canceled and we were rewarded two simple 21$ meal vouchers that could be used EVERYWHERE in the airport at any restaurant or grab and go. The 42$ wouldn’t have even covered the full meal and we would’ve paid the remainder amount. The cashier girl was very nice asking her coworkers how to use the voucher but then a very very rude woman came up and said very rudely that they don’t accept that voucher . I told her that the Atlanta airport specifically said we could use it anywhere in their airport and she continued to deny and didn’t even try to see how to use the meal voucher . She said their restaurant (out of all restaurants in the gigantic Atlanta airport) don’t use meal vouchers. We went to another wonderful restaurant (chicken & beer) and told them our dilemma, they accommodated our meal voucher that didn’t cover our full meal. We expressed our horrible customer service experience at Philips seafood and a manager proceeded to let us know they will definitely bring this to the attention of the airport because they were supposed to be accommodating our meal voucher any where in the airport. Don’t waste your money or experience here. I suggest chicken and beer instead. They were great with excellent service and a very attentive waitress ! The food was delicious and I would never return to Philips...

I took a seat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine. I had also planned on eating dinner, since my flight was delayed. I had my heart set on the crab Cobb with a side of hush Puppies. After getting the wine my order was never taken, despite the customers on either Side of me bring served. I finally asked for bartender if I could move to a table and he said fine. The higher seat was bad for my knee which was in a brace. So there I sat The table, restaurant was not busy while the servers kept Walking past me after 10 minutes I stoped Felix and said what waitstaff was working my station, and his response was it was the person at the bar and the I SHOULD have stayed at the bar. At that point the couple next to Me commented on the customer service. I was then somewhat humiliated as I could see the servers discussing who would take my order. I even started okay I guess I cant eat then I’ll Just pay the wine bill and leave. The waiter didn’t even blink just went and got the check. So I paid the 9.00 Wine bill and walked out. You have lost a loyal customer As I will Never Frequent any of your establishments again; what an embarrassment for Your organization. I am also in the food service business and customer service is our Number one priority. I rarely get angry but you have drawn my ire to a new...

The food is great, but the servers are not welcoming. I’ve came in there several of times, I wasn’t greeted how a Caucasian couple was greeted. When it was time to seat me the young ladies Demeanor changed drastically. I didn’t get her name but she had braids in her hair tied into a bun. The server that assisted me didn’t check on me while I was eating, but checked on the guest around me. When I asked for my receipt she placed it on the table with no no check presenter, the lady to my right and left was presented a receipt with a check holder. I am a server, people should not be treated differently. But I will no be retuning. I did call the number on the receipt but no one has yet to call back. GHETTO SERVICE. I only had one nice server there, she was an older lady, who had a little limp, she had a great personality, and I tipped her $100.00 because she gave me great service. The young lady I had a didn’t tip her, I’m tired of tipping people who have terrible service.

We was in Atlanta for the day and was heading out and decided to have a late lunch before flying out. My sister ordered fish with fries and I had chicken bacon ranch sandwich with fries. Sandwich was moist even without the ranch that I didn't put on my sandwich. Fries was perfectly seasoned and cooked that I didn't need any ketchup. It tasted great without anything. My sister said her fish was crispy and not soggy, not over cooked and still had it's crunch when breaking it apart. She says it was the best fish sticks she had ever had. For a minute there I forgot we was inside the airport because the atmosphere was quite over looking the airport. Our server was nice and fast. She even offer to give us a to-go water for our trip. This place was great. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.
