Had Sunday lunch here. There was no wait to be seated. Even though there were two large birthday parties going on our waiter promptly arrived a few seconds after we sat down. For the appetizer I ordered the quasachongo, though I normally don't get appetizers. Someone in the kitchen really cared about presentation today, because the appetizer plate looked fantastic. I'd recommend trying it. We enjoyed that and at the moment when I started thinking about starting the main dish our waiter arrived with it. My wife ordered the Baja fish tacos. That dish's presentation was on par with the appetizer we had. I ordered just the Burrito Azteca. The picture showed it looking like the Mexican flag wrapped up in burrito form, but the real thing was far from it. The colours were pale and appeared that it was hastily wrapped. It tasted great though.
Our waiter was extremely attentive and anticipated exactly what we wanted next and when, without our asking, down to extra napkins and offering a to-go box when he noticed that we had slowed down.
The atmosphere was pleasant. Their birthday song for another table didn't feel gimmicky and the staff were into the singing. The host was extremely involved and attentive not just to the front door, but also the dining rooms. I could hear the staff communicating quite often in Spanish which tables were ready. The busboy responded quickly as soon as a table was ready to be cleaned. I couldn't find food on the floor, or staff leaning against walls or furniture. I'd say they went above and beyond to provide a great dining experience, and I will continue coming...
Read moreI'm not sure why the locals around here give such good ratings. Usually when you order Fajitas from any Mexican restaurant you will hear your Fajitas sizzling. That was not the case here. I received a lukewarm plate of Fajitas. They was skimpy in the rice, beans, and vegetables. The fajitas tejanas cost me $13.99. The salsa does not taste homemade and I also found a piece of plastic in my salsa. The habernero red spicy salsa did not seem homemade, but more like store bought. The Large dos equis amber cost me $6.99 and it doesn't appear to be 32oz... more like 24oz? Pretty expensive for beer. They have 2 for 1 margaritas, but that is the house version which has well liquor in it. They do have a large assortment of liquors especially for a place in this area. I personally don't like the people whom sit at the bar and drink anything but liquor, beer, or wine. WTF Thomasville locals, why become placeholders at the bar? Is this a Bible belt thing on Sunday? Next time I come here my Fajitas better be sizzling or I'll be...
