New hotel so furniture etc is still nice. Plumbing is messed up throughout the building. Weâve stayed in 2 different rooms. Toilets wonât flush and they gurgle up air, so had to use the lobby toilet most of the time. They said they called the plumber, but they didnât.The housekeeper brought a plunger and a big bucket of hot water to pour in the toilet a couple times.I felt bad for her. Then, I had to call the front desk to let her know our toilet was out of order again and got yelled at by the desk clerk. She said she had other calls to tend to and that someone in another room had no water pressure to take a shower, I guess implying I should be grateful. I asked for another room and she said they were booked up and I could just cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. The whole town was booked, but she did not care. I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and she said that she wasnât the owner and I couldnât just have âhisâ phone numberâŚ..I didnât ask for his number. I asked to be compensated when my stay was over $900.00 and I had a toilet that gurgled all night and wouldnât flush. Walking down to the lobby bathroom in my pajamas for $200 a night wasnât much of a luxury. This hotel also advertises cable channels that they do not have. They are still on the channel guide but when clicked on it says the are no longer available. I called the desk clerk and she said that âheâ doesnât provide thatâŚI told her itâs on the website but she blew me off and hung up on me. Needless to say, she was very unprofessional and probably overwhelmed. The owner is obviously a real piece of work. Wonât pay a plumber, wonât pay his cable bill, hires people who donât specialize in hospitality and wonât give you even a fraction of your money back when you have to walk to the lobby to...
Read moreWhen we arrived the front desk worker had her child on her hip. I scanned my card for what I thought was incidentals as I had booked the room on Priceline. The room was comfortable large, clean and had a kitchen area which was nice. The air conditioner seemed pretty loud in the room. Breakfast was ok. There was chicken that was not cooked in the middle at all. Quite a few things were empty in the breakfast options too and were never refilled while we were eating. When I got home the card I had swiped for incidentals had been charged again for the room, even though I had paid for the room through Priceline. I have called to try to get it refunded and am waiting on resolution. I would stay here again, as long as they resolve the issue with double payment because it could be an issue with Priceline as well. I am willing to be patient. If the issue doesnât get resolved, I will come back an edit my review and dispute with my credit card company. *UPDATE. They handled the refund very quickly as soon as the manager was in the office. My original call to notify them was in the evening when manager was off duty. So as soon as manager was back in office, manager, Helen, took action. I appreciate the quick action to...
Read morePros: *Everyone we interacted with at the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. *The rooms were very clean. *The hotel looked new and freshly updated *No signs of bedbugs or roaches
Cons: *The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, the pillows smash down into nothing, and the bedding is scratchy and thin. The beds are SO uncomfortable that we cancelled our reservation for the next week (we were traveling) and booked it at the hotel next doorâŚ. *The walls are paper thin. I know hotels are loud, I expect that. However, this was another level. We could hear the neighbors across the hall talking through our AC vent. It took a minute for us to figure out what was happening, but we finally realized the noise was traveling from their room to ours through the vents. We could also hear them talking in the hallway even though they werenât that loud. *You could hear footsteps echo through the room even if someone wasnât walking loudly. This means that for the people on lower floors, normal walking and footsteps probably sound like a herd of wild hippos. *The bathroom door was a sliding door that didnât lock. (This wasnât listed anywhere in the room...
