Rick D's BBQ & more — Restaurant in Georgia

I have been wanting to try it out for a while now, decided to take a plunge. It's inside the gas station off to the left side on the front. The people working the counter were very friendly. I had the two meat combo which were burnt ends, ribs, and double macaroni & cheese as the side. The macaroni and cheese was wonderful, it had great flavor and very cheesy. Unfortunately that's where it ends, both the burnt ends and ribs were overcooked. They were both unseasosend and had absolutely no smoke flavor to them. Three burnt ends were sitting in sauce and the ribs came with a side of sauce. The sauce was really well made, not too sweet. But it could not help the tough meat and the meat but being seasoned. I'm disappointed and truly not sure if I will be back

Edit: Came back and same result, also tried the brisket. Brisket was tough and chewy, no smoke ring either. Not sure if the meat itself is being overcooked on the pit, or if the hot holding is cooking the meat and it becomes tough. Unfortunately I will not be returning, but hope that you're business continues to flourish....

OMG…….the best soul food ever!!! Even for a cancer patient. My mouth yearns for their cooking!! My daughter says “it’s GREAT 👍🏽!” The owners are not new to cooking. They grew up in the kitchen, trust me, I know! And the prices are not out of the norm. How they plate 🍽️ your meal is sooooo much, you can eat off of it twice. So if you spend $20 on a plate of special meat with sides and cornbread is like spending $10 each day!! We never get tired of their cooking because it’s always something different to order 😉. I’ll post pictures next time...

Basic. People don’t know good food around these parts and it shows. It’s over priced, average at best. I had the bbq chicken quarter the Mac n cheese and baked beans. It was 18$ after tax and everything no drink included . The same dinner thing at Sonny’s bbq for 9$ 11$ at Shane’s . This Chicken had no flavor , it was dried . Mac n cheese was average baked beans average. Wait time was high for food already cooked. Won’t be going again. I would be a...
