RISE coffee & tea — Restaurant in Georgia

Have you every pulled up to a business 5 minutes before they close only to hear the lock click as you are walking towards the door? Today I pulled up to the drive-thru at RISE 45 minutes BEFORE they were supposed to open. I pulled up at 8:15 and the sign on the window says they open at 9:00AM. In almost 99% of the businesses operating the person on the other side of the glass would be pointing at the hours and mouthing the words "we're closed!". I am not certain, but I believe the BaRISTa's name was Rubi; before she could tell me they were not open yet I had picked out what I wanted from the menu. At that point, there was the moment that every owner, customer service manager, or trainer tells people can happen.

How do you impact the customer, how do you make someone feel like a customer, how do you just simply make someone feel like they matter? Next words - we do not open until 9am, but if you give me just a minute, I will get that for you. With a smile on her face I was presented a wonderful cup of coffee that tasted better than any other cup I have ever sipped.

When I got home I looked up the business, and I was amazed at the story, this is a business that cares about its employees and employees that care about each other and their community. My day was made better by a cup of coffee...

So today was my first trip to Rise! Let’s just start with the staff. Rubi was quick to introduce herself and as she was still training a new volunteer she took the time to make me feel as if I was the only one there. The new volunteer was just as sweet even in her training. But let’s talk about Darby. I asked her input oh her drink of choice (cold of course) and she immediately said GINGER PEACH! She knows her stuff because that tea was very refreshing and I can say could possibly be a favorite of mine as well. I also snagged a veggie egg bite and it too was delicious and hit the spot. I appreciate the fact that there so many healthy options that don’t feel like it’s a healthy option. You have got to try this place!! You will not be disappointed and this will certainly NOT be my last visit. See...

My new favorite coffee shop! This place is great! Locally owned and the beans are roasted right here in Woodstock @ Woodstock Coffee Company. The employees are very friendly and it was a joy to spend time grabbing a cup of coffee and chatting with them.

I had the Shine Strong, my wife had the Morning Mojo hot tea and my daughter had their GFDF Chocolate Muffin. They have all day breakfast (egg white frittatas, crust less quiche, egg white sandwich, cilantro lime chicken burrito). It is a family friendly business of which we will become regular customers.
