It always amazes me how a business owner serving the public can be so inflexible with a customer. I asked for a small, very small change to my order and they refused. So, I left. I hope it was worth it to them. There are other sushi restaurants in the area. They're not even the best around, they just happen to be convenient. So, over a very small request, they lost a customer. Then you wonder why places like this struggle. It's over stuff like this that they lose business and struggle. Not smart.
Here was the issue, in addition to our full order, I wanted a sashimi appetizer with only Salmon. They said No. (Other places accommodate that) they said order then from the regular sashimi menu for that. I said ok, I'd like to get 6 pieces of salmon sashimi. (Sameas the appetizer qty). They said NO. It comes in 4 I said, ok, I'll pay extra for the add'l 2 pieces. They said No. Just order what's on the menu. Seriously? You lose a customer over that? I left because I wasn't going to enjoy my meal there. And so, I won't go back. Too many choices around. I don't need...
Read moreTokyo Boat is one of my favorite restaurants. They are way too underrated! The food tastes amazing and the waiters are always so nice! I 100% recommend the Hibachi. The way they perform is so unique. Not a lot of restaurants are as good as this one.
Sushi I recommend: Spider Man Roll Tokyo Roll Dynamite Roll
Things they could improve on: Everything is flawless! The only thing I think could make it better was at the old location, they had these cute little decorations made by beads. I know they probably stopped offering to sell these because they needed to save money, but I still kind of miss it.
I've been going here for over 9 years and I can tell it is slowly falling apart. When we come, we are usually the only ones there on a Sunday morning. I'm getting worried they will have to close, they already shut down one location to save on rent. YOU NEED TO COME. Even though they are going through all this, they are still managing to keep it cheaper than a lot of expensive restaurants. Save your money and GO!

Read moreI went to the place for dinner since it was close to our house. This review is mainly based on my meal experience. I got the chicken hibachi with soup and salad. The service was pretty quick, soup and salad were good and my entree came maybe 5 or 7 min later. I was honestly disappointed with my entrees. The fried rice looked good but you could clearly tell it had been good long ago and was sitting heated somewhere. The same went for the chicken. They did not make it fresh to order it was probably cooked earlier in the day and then they just poured a sauce on it. The food did not taste bad, but it did not taste fresh and was pretty mediocre. I also should add that this was the hibachi ordered at a regular table. Im sure the hibachi would have been better if we did the whole show with the chef and he cooked in front of us.
I also want to add that my husband for sushi and enjoyed his meal. So all in all I wouldn't do the hibachi but...
