I have a strong hunch that Rudy's New York Pizza might just become one of my go-to restaurants, especially with its proximity to our church. The small bar is perfect for having a drink with a close-knit group of friends. On my maiden visit after a church meeting, we ordered a draft beer, the Jekyll, which had a taste reminiscent of an IPA, something I particularly enjoy. We kept it simple with appetizers, opting for calamari and Santa Fe rolls. The calamari was wonderfully fresh and delicious, while the Santa Fe rolls, baked instead of fried, were a delightful surprise. Our waitress, the most senior but also the wisest team member, was exceptionally friendly and personable. She even shared the fascinating history behind the restaurant, which was started by an immigrant from Iceland about 20 years ago. The overall experience, from the food to the service and the nostalgic 1970s ambiance, was truly enjoyable. An added bonus was a PacMan video game, which took me back to the good old days. I enjoyed Jekyll Brewing IPA.

So-so...not bad...just less than what I'm used to as a serious foodie. I tasted their hand-tossed supreme pizza...being from Chicago...well...I think you get-it. My order was the eggplant parmesan sub. It didn't quite measure up in size to most other places I'd been such as Goodfellas Pizza (downtown ATL on Spring), and though good layer of cheese...very little sauce. I had to use the marinara sauce from my appetizer, as it was so dry.

We hadn't been to Rudy's in a long time due to a lot of pizza competition and some cheaper options. However let me say this we went to Rudy's and we forgot how good Rudy's pizza is. I had Steak Stromboli and the thing was so good I will be getting another on this week. The dough is soft and delicious this Italian sandwich is off the chain good!!!!

Update...2024-2025 this place revamped themselves now I'm enjoying their food again. Pizza was delicious and also their meatball subs. Looks like they got rid of the ghetto ppl.

August 2021 Update....revisited this place again surprised it moved to a new location. Upon arrival we were not greeted, tables were dirty and there was several people eating and a gentleman picking up his order.. I stood in line to ask do we seat ourselves??I observed the same thing someone else stated 3 young girls no sense of urgency just walking around handing people items.. Finally made eye contact with an employee who instructed to sit anywhere. We sat for a good 10 or maybe 15 minutes before someone noticed us. My friend and I noticed we had 2 different menus with different pricing and when we ordered wings and pasta,, we were told prices went up to even $6 more than what's stated on the menu. We decided to proceed anyways to help support small businesses. The pasta came with a Ceasar salad which had mountains of greasy burnt cutons that tasted horrible. If I had to describe it, tasted like it was cooked in chicken grease. The dressing was tart and nasty as well. Pasta was ok meatballs were good had good flavor but sauce was ok but taste like ordinary cheap sauce for restaurants. The wings. WE GAVE IT ANOTHER SHOT....wings tasted freezer burnt AGAIN!! It taste like the box it was originally packaged in or its not stored properly in the freezer. We can't be the only ones who feels this way. Waitress.. 1 was rude and 1 was ok. They spent majority of the time hanging out. One girl seems like she hated every customer she saw with an attitude, one appeared to be in la la land, clueless of her surroundings and the other was relaxed and just going with the flow. Most be the same 3 girls one lady said was unprofessional. Customer service is definitely out the door, if you like this place just pick up your order to avoid them..

Sept 2020....Ordered the calzone and wings.....the calzone was amazing the wings was ok but had a hint of a freezer burn taste and also didn't like the fact they have extra surcharges for split flavors and to mix flavors. Most likely will be back again for the calzone and maybe...

My co-workers and I often order from this establishment because I receive our orders in a timely manner and it is correct. The delivery guy is such a gentleman and it has normally been a pleasant experience. Yesterday, I logged in online, placed a group order and called in my co-workers informed me that two orders were being paid with a card. Not anything new to us btw. I call the restaurant and the young lady placed me on a hold so that the orders could be divided. When someone returns, he states that he is the manager and is unable to split the orders for payment. I stated that we had done so in the past and what did we need to do. He states that I needed to hang up, go online, cancel my order and call back to place it. I inquired if he was able to cancel the order from where he was, enter it in the system and take the payment. He said no because there were calls holding. At this point I'm beside myself because of his tone and said "Jesus Christ." The manager then yells at me and says how dare I curse. I was baffled and shocked at his response. I asked to speak with someone over him and was told that he is the manager and the owner. He proceeded to say how dare I say the Lord's name in vain and that he doesn't know which part of South Africa I'm from (British) but he doesn't do cursing and will not make the order or deliver to my company again. I have never received such poor, customer service and my company has vouched to never return there. I thought my complaint was noted with the BBB and I had to re-submit but this...

I was very displeased with the way that Rudy’s handles their check out process when paying with a credit card. My bill was $26.24 and when I received an alert from my bank in regards to my purchase, I was charged $31.49. When I went back to the store I was told that they did not “close out” the bill yet so therefore there was nothing they could do until they close it out. I was not understanding as when a merchant charges my card that is technically closing out the bill. I got attitude from the cashier that was there and she went to get the owner. I showed them both my online bank statement, and he said the same thing they have not closed it out. And he tried to explain to me that it’s like using your card at the gas station they place a hold on your card or in this case it’s a hold in the event a customer leaves a tip. I told him I have NEVER had a Resturant place a hold on my card for tips when I first did not leave one as it was take out. There are no signs saying that they will be placing a hold on your card etc. I think this is very deceptive and is illegal to be doing. Then the owner tells me it’s an old system we’ve had for 15 year and i don’t like it Maybe it’s time to change it. Really if you know you have this problem you should have either posted it so customers know and train your waitresses to let customers know or change your system. They have definitely lost a customer. Please check your bank statements when using your card. To me...
